My husband is at SCC Jamestown..He called me today and was beyond upset! He said that the CO's are all trippin, and that he recieved a memo today stating that as of March 9th, all A2B inmates will only be allowed 1 phone call per month! Not only that, but he also recieved a memo stating that the next time he can apply for another family visit is Oct.2006. Unless you have a job, you are not eligible for family visits every 90 days anymore. My husband is doing 80%, and he said unless you have 50% it's really hard to get a job...Has anyone else heard about the new changes? Thisis ridiculous...I cannot imagine only ONE phone call per month!:angry:

My husband has been able to call me several times since they were supposed to be limited to making only 1 call per month....So I dunno??? He said that he will get on the phone whenever he can. He said that the memo is still posted in the dorms, but it doesn't seem like the co's are enforcing it! That's a good thing! Has anyone else heard about this memo that was posted?

my husband is at corcoran , he has been a2b since october, and waiting to get into school. So they had told him 1 call a month and it just depends who is workingat the time, over there when they are a2b they cant go out on weekends or at night, and for some reason today he was out and calling like crazy. I think all CA prisons have the 1 call a month rule forA2b but there are to many inmated to keep track of the calls, so i bet your man will still be able to call often :D
