My husband surrendered on the 24th to Beaumont FCI Camp. We were not married before he got into this trouble and I am just wondering if I can see him before he sends the form even though we were not married at that time. Does anyone know?

No one can visit until they are approved. You must complete the form and send it back to his counselor, NOT to him. Unless someone is on the approved visitor list, they would be turned away.

Were you married when his PSI was prepared? If so, you may be able to visit before the application form is turned in - you should check with his counselor.

So what happens if your not married? Can you still see them? I'm on his PSI report, does that matter? Hi AC how ya doing girl?

MandyMeMe, have him send you a visitation form. Complete EVERY section and send it to his counselor, not to him.
You don't have to be married to visit someone in a Federal Prison, but you cannot have a conviction and you had to know them prior to the incarceration.

Thanks so much Susan, I got the form and sent it in last week and hopefully I will be able to see him soon. Do you know how long it takes before they will have an answer?

It should not take longer than a week or two at the most, unless his counselor happens to be on vacation or ill. There is no reason why you could not phone the counselor and politely ask if you have been approved so that you can visit this week-end.
If nothing else, the counselor will know that he has support.
