Hi! Everyone! I am new to this so I am sure I will have lots of questions. My boyfriend is currently on parole hold in LA County Jail. He has been in custody for eight days and has not been given any paperwork in regards to his charge or been given a court appointed attorney. from what I read he should have been given paperwork within 3-5 days of being taken into custody and appointed an attorney with 5-6 days. Also, he is entitled to a preliminary revocation hearing within 10 days of being taken into custody and/or being given his paperwork. My question is with the untimelyness of this procedure would that help his case for being COP'd? I believe he is being held on either absconding or failure to follow instructions.
