I would like to go visit my brother this Sunday at Centinella. Can someone tell me how it is or what to do. How early do you have to be there? You know the whold low down on visiting. Any info would help. He is on D yard. Thanks.:thumbsup:

Hello! My Birdy Is In A Yard There At Centinela, I Haven't Went To See Him In A Bit But One Things For Sure Though, They Are Pretty Strict On The Clothing Issue. Make Sure You Take A Spare Set Of Clothes Just In Case You Have To Change, You Don't Have Much To Choose From At The Trailer. Heres The Number That You Can Call And Find Out More Information On Visits, You Might Want To Call Before You Go And Find Out Whether Or Not Their On Lockdown..... 760-337-7900. It Doesn't Take Too Long To Get There, About 3 1/2 To 4 Hours, Just Leave Early To Get There Early. Good Luck!

Hi.. make sure you call on Fridays to make sure your brother is going to be recieving visits. They have and will update those recordings so it is always best to check after 3:00 on Fridays. The safest thing to wear as far as color is black and sweats are an easy choice, just until you get familiar with the entry process. I always take $10.00 in quarters and $20.00 in ones because there is not always change in the machine and sometimes the vending machines will take coin, sometimes cash. Until the machine chick get there this will get you a few things either way. You can wear 1 pair of earrings,2 rings, a bracelet, a watch, a necklace with one pendant. No, none absoulutley no body jewelry. once you arrive get in line A, then after processing get into line B to get checked out. You can wear a white shirt but it has to have some kind of writing on it. Good Luck S

hey what you can do is call the prison 760 337-7900 I dont know the * for D yard but you can dial 6300 and that is the main CCI in C yard and ask to be trans to D yard or Records and in records you give them your brother info and they will give you the * to his CCI. good luck. If he just got to Centinela his probably in classification and that takes about 2-3 weeks and after it takes thema while to get on the phone... ( he has to sign up) also when they justarrived to the facility they have no access to anything so maybe that is the reason why you havent heard from him... good luck :thumbsup:

i am plannin on visiting my brother this weekend. thiss will be my first time at centinela....i have no idea what to do or how it should be done. i was told, i don't have to make an appointment, but im not sure. i dont wanna have to make that looong drive for nothing. can anyone help?

hi sandy.. you only have to make an appt if your brother is in ad seg.. otherwise you'll be fine just going that day. and remember if hes still in orientation you'll have a 1 hour, behind the glass, non-contact visit. after orientation its the normal contact visits :D
oh yeah and dont forget extra clothes, cause they're pretty strict on that.
ps. i would recommend calling the prison the thursday before you go see him after 3pm to make sure his yard isn't on lockdown
