I'm sorry, but, I just need to vent a bit.......

It is almost going to be a month since this latest riot and I have been so worried! I did hear from my husband (once) in a letter dated the 11th that he was fine and that he was just going to ride this out and get some reading done.

But, my gutt is telling me something else. I just have had a sick feeling. I have been so worried. I usually get quite a bit of mail, but, so far, I have only gotten the one short letter.

I am not able to go up there nearly as much as I used to because of my work schedule. The last time I was there was Christmas time - before that was in August! I have kids and a house to support, so, I work quite a bit plus I own my own business from home.

So, you want to hear the tough week part? I am going to try and get a weekend off to go up there but, I have a problem: I don't know when they'll be off lockdown and I have to have all requests in at least a month prior! Then, I told my boss (who's a serious BIATCH!) to be looking out for my request for a weekend off to go check on my husband and she said: "I'll remember that when your evaluation comes up."

...now it's forcing me to choose my job or my husband! It's just been tough! Anyone else having a crappy week or having a tough time with this LD?

Jaimee I am so glade that you posted, I am here to hear you and I am sure that the rest of the family is too.
I totally understand about the mail situation and I think what drives us more crazy is the “wondering”:confused: . You have still been writing to him, right? Maybe you can call the prison just to make sure everything is okay with him. When I was visiting this past weekend I over heard some of the CO’s saying “we should see some movement from southerners, blacks, and whites this week.” But then again I heard another CO say, “It looks like these guys will be down awhile.” So I am not sure what is going on. No one on B-yard is programming so I haven’t gotten a phone call, so I am lost with you girl.
I am going to go to visit on Sunday, but until we are sitting side by side I always plan on something going wrong. I am trying to get as many visits as I can before everyone comes off lockdown and visiting gets packed.
As for your boss she can’t say that to you! It bothers me when people are so miserable or unhappy in their own life that they love to make others unhappy.

Today, so far, is a great day! :D New month, new goals...I'm just going to keep throwing myself into work, my kids, and prayer and eventually I'll hear from him. I'm Thinkin Pink!

I called his counselor yesterday and got his machine...no call back yet. I'll try again later today.

I'm just not going to think about it. I'm going to make today a great day. Thanks for letting me wear my heart on my sleeve for a bit! :grouphug:
