I just found out my husband is getting sentenced on Friday. He took his plea bargain last month. It's really nerve wrecking because we thought it would be sometime towards the end of March or early April but it turns out it is this Friday. He went for his probation report (some sort of interview thing before getting sentenced) this morning which means he will be sentenced for sure now.

I'm excited that he can finally get out of Rikers and start his programs and stuff he needs for the merit time but I'm also scared because it's going to be really hard while he transitions... I'm used to speaking to him so many times a day. It's really scary not knowing what is coming. I ordered a land line phone today and they're coming Monday to install it. I'm going shopping this weekend to buy him as much as I can. Any suggestions on what I should get him would be appreciated. He'll most likely go to Downstate but may go to Ulster.

Has anyone gone through this phase yet? Care to share your experiences? I'm really anxious and nervous. I'll keep everyone updated.

Thanks Snuggles... Well, for some reason they changed his date to 3/21.... He didn't even go to court today. I guess it's all in God's hands and whatever he wants to happen will happen. Maybe it's for the better that he isn't leaving until the end of March. Plus, my birthday is on the 29th and maybe he'll be around for my birthday... We'll see.
