Ladies I want to know your opinon. I want to get a tattoo of my soon to be husband name. But it was said that the relationship would be cursed if I did and most relationships don't last because it's like idolizing that person. Tell me what you think.

I am going through that same thing right now. I have been going back and forth, I am a big chicken when it comes to pain. He has mine and it hasn't cursed us. So who knows to each his own-I guess!

Honestly I don't think it's a curse. My husband has my name on his ring finger and on his arm and I have his on my left shoulder and my ring finger. We have been together for 11 years and married 5years on March 24th. I think if your having second thoughts you may want to wait til your really sure.

Well i'll tell you ladies what my totally dorky brother in law told me about that. i have also been tossing the idea around of getting my husband's name on me, and he said that " you do know that now is the time" and i asked " why is now the time" and he said" because when you get your bf/gf name on you the relationship usually doesn't last longer then 6 months, but Mike is in prison for another 7 months so by the time he gets out the curse wil have passed" I thought that was a cute idea.

I want to get it. I'm not scared or anything I just don't want to break up after I get it and he has to get mine first. You know?

I guess Im cursed!!! I got his nick name on my left wrist this past Saturday night. -shrugs- I did it because I love him and Im dedicated to him and he loves it. That is all that matters right? Now This Is Just What Happen To Me I Met My Ex Husband In Prison 18 Years Ago. We Had Never Met Untill He Got Out ( In Person). He Put My Name On Him 2 Weeks After We Met On The Phone!!!!! I Married Him After He Got Out About 3 Years Later Had 3 Kids By Him Ect, Ect, . I Put Him Name Onb My Neck And So Did He . He Ha D My Name On Him His Neck Arm And Chest. But We Did End Up Getting A Devorse.7 Years Ago . So Wouldnt Put It Aleast Not Where Anyone Else Can See Unless You Want Them Too.

Personally I would never get a tatoo my self but I love to look at them on other people. I think it has to do with how strong your relationship is in the first place. it has nothing to do with a curse. maybe you would feel more secure about it if you did it after you got married or until you absolutly know that it is the right moment. good luck.

i have my fiance's name on my shoulder...and i dont' regret it one bit!! i know 100% that we will be together forever....and he also has my name on him as well...if you aren't sure, then you may want to wait.....follow you heart....like others have said, if you and your man don't work out, then you can always get it covered up!!

this curse theory is a bunch of crap and I think just about all of us believe that. A tattoo is an expression and something that should be considered carefully as I believe if you commit to it, then you keep it. My first tat is on the inside of my right ankle. It is a centaur which represents my sign of Sagittarius. My 2nd one if on the outside of the same ankle and it is a heart with a banner that says my sons name. Lastly, I have a little rosebud on the outside of my left ankle. The first one was the hardest as back then there were not a lot of options if I didn't like it or out grew it so I made sure I chose something that would never change no matter what life brought me. Same with the second one. The 3rd was more of a drunken moment but again, I love roses and there is no reason that will change. Will I tat my man's name for the next one?? Possibly, only time will tell but I can guarantee that if I do it is because I know he is special and this love is like no other I have experienced. Doesn't matter to me if we are married or not, hopefully not for the record, but if a tat is what I choose to do, and for some reason things don't work out, no regrets because at one time it was special enough to have it inked and for me that means it will be special forever.

The night before i went to prison i got my wife's name put on my right arm/shoulder in the middle of a heart. I figured my marriage was over. She had told me that if I did not quit dealing I was going back to prison and promissed me she would not stand by me like she did the first time. We had been married 24 years at the time and I figured that if i remarried , my new wife would just have to learn to deal with it because Mona was an outstanding woman/wife and the tattoo was in rememberance of what we used to have before i got so tore up on meth.

Long story short, she left me. This is what it took for me to turn to the LORD. God not only forgave me but He healed my marriage. We just celebrated our 36th anniversary. Now, as a Christian man, I would not ever get another tattoo because the Bible speaks against it. Not trying to make anyone feel bad. LORD Bless

But as a christian man do you still have the tattoo? I am not trying to be disrespectful and I think it is great that you got it together for you and your family but I am curious if the tattoo stays or goes since the bible speaks against it.

Hi, everyone! I don't think it's a curse. At least I really hope not! *knock on wood*. I got my soon-to-be ex husband's name on my back 4 months into our relationship and he did the same with my name when we were 17/18. Now I'm 25 and sadly, we're going through a divorce, but I don't attribute it to the tattoo!! Plus, we named our son after his daddy so I just added 'Jr." to the tat.
And now I have a new man, who I've known for 10 years but officially hooked up with as bf/gf during his stay at Central (CIM), just this last April. I got his name blasted across my stomach 3 weeks ago as a sign of my love and devotion, and commitment to the well-being of his program and our future together, not as a 'worshiping' thing. Though, I do practically worship his gorgeous self... DAMN! :) Blast it, babe. And worse comes to worse, be prepared for a good cover-up job. ;)

NOT bad girl, but being the cheater that I am I am a nurse and I used numbing cream for my back and then took my mom on MOMS day to get her first one, I gave her lidocaine injections, and she felt NOTHING..it was the first time I did it, and I think I am gonna do it again for the one on my left leg, if I got one on my feet I would definately inject with lidocaine((numbing medicine)) and or use the numb cream, I think the older I get the more it hurts.. Man that is it, I am believing that .. So I am sticking to that story... I am sooo old that I need to use the numbing cream...LOL

Bottom line is that no matter what goes wrong, if it can't be fixed, the tattoo or the piece of paper wasn't the cause. So get the ink as it can be removed, get the paper and you can get divorced and have fun as life is short!!

I know how most of you feel abut getting your mans name tattooed on you. I keep having people write it out for me but so far I haven't found the right writing I want. But the thing thats good is when I do find it my husband can tat it on me I have 8 tattoos now and 7 of them my husband has done he have the real gun and everything he wants to do like a moible tattoo job you don't see to many of those if any. but I figure when I do find the right writing I am going to get his name on me like they always say you can always cover it up and I figure I have been with him for 9 years and married 3 years so whats the worse that can happen. hey that sounds like fun. i am addicted to them now. i got one then another and then my mans name and i am hoping to get my next one soon. im down to join the fun. hes getting mine right under is collar bone. yeah!!!!! i was hesitant at first because of that whole curse thing but i thought, hes been in my heart for 9 years and will forever stay there no matter what. i got a tribal design with his name in the middle of the heart cause thats where i keep him and always have. he loves it! hes native american thats why the tribal design. anytime i feel doubtful he always reassures me and i feel it totally now. i dont believe in that curse thing anymore cause i learned nothing will come between to people who truely love eachother and have faith in eachother.

the curse is supposed to be that once u get the name, everything goes wrong and u split up. my man DOES tattoos so I have to wait for him to come home to get mine
