Where is everyone? We have our forum and we're not posting. Anyways, I thought I'd start a Visiting Thread. I was thinking we could talk about how our visits went. Who is visiting this weekend? I'll be there on Sunday because I have a Notary Class on Saturday.

I visited last weekend! It was nice and warm... We even got to go outside and walk around!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that. I hope it's warm again. I love going outside up there. It makes me feel like we're on a picnic.

So, did anyone visit this weekend??? I went on Sunday and enjoyed my visit. My hubby, daughter and I even played football (because the Level 2 CO's decided to conversate next to our spot outside so we decided to give THEM some privacy and enjoy our visit).

BTW - I got a speeding ticket on my way there, I'm so upset. Did anyone else see all the CHP out this weekend???

Okay, so was anyone visiting on the level two yard on Sunday? If so, did you see dude get pulled from visiting cause his wife came and he was already visiting with his girlfiriend, so he made them send the wife home? That was so skanless. Anyways, I just felt like I needed to give props to the visiting CO's for not just letting the wife end and cause a whole lot of commotion in visiting.

The average wait for a response is 4-8 weeks, from the time your application is received by the visiting staff. In some cases, it takes longer than 8 weeks. I suggest calling the visiting department if your wait is longer than 8 weeks, and find out if your application has been received. They will NOT tell you if you have been approved or disapproved over the phone. It is the responsibility of the inmate to relay that information to you. If you are APPROVED, the inmate will be notified. If you are DISAPPROVED, the inmate will be notified AND you will be mailed a written response with details of the denial.

IM inFlorida and they called me and told me i was approved ...but the reason they called is because of another reason...:)

i Just Sent In My Visiting Form A Week Ago I Hope To Be Visitng Soon!!!

In my six years of visiting I have seen the wife/girlfriend thing at least 4 times!!! The CO's usually handle it well.

How are contact visits?? What should I expect different from NON CONTACT visits???
