I was wanting some input as to how visitation is at CCF. Do they have the ion scanners and if they do, can they be set off by wearing perfume, or gas fumes from filling your car? These are things I have heard will set them off.

Also, do they search your car? I recently read a thread in another state's forum where somebody was denied visitation because they had a camera cell phone in their car? I would hate for something like this to cause problems. It seemed a little harsh since it was just in their car, not that I have heard of this occurring here, but......you never know.

Anyway, anybody with information about CCF, I would appreciate your comments. Thanks :)

I have been to CCF twice. They have a metal detector but no ion scanner to my knowledge. I have never had my car searched, at least not that I know about. If you are one person visiting you have to sit across from your loved one, they won't let you sit next to them unless there are more than two people to a table. If you get there early enough to get a small table, this isn't so bad, the tables are only about 2 1/2 feet across. The guards are pretty watchful. On Sunday they kicked a girl out who was visiting her husband because they said they could see him touching her innappropriately from the reflection of the vending machines. The people were facing the vending machines, the guards were halfway across the room behind them. There is also a camera in the ceiling. My husband and I were standing at the vending machines and he was told to take his hand off the back of my neck. You may embrace and kiss when you get there and when you leave, and you can touch hands and arms and hold hands at the table the entire time. The visiting room is pretty large and it gets really crowded and noisy.

Thank you so much for your information, I really appreciate it. This will be my first time there and as you can tell I am a little uptight about it.:p
I guess I can be glad that he's only on level 2 if for no other reason than we have to visit on Mondays and Fridays, no weekend visits. I don't think I'd enjoy crowded and noisy.
Again, thank you.
