as long as you are not a convicted felon, and even if you are you should be able to see him, you need to talk to his counselor and stress to him the importance of seeing your husband

Sobernow05, the first thing I suggest you do is talk with your parole officer. He/she can cut through a lot of red tape for you.

Get a letter from your parole officer which states that he has no objection to you visiting. Then submit a visiting application and don't lie on it about anything. Submit the application with your parole officer's letter attached. That's what I suggest to start with. The fact that you are legally married will help a lot - so you might want to attach a copy of your marriage certificate also. Zelda

Have your husband talk to his counselor about you visiting. My husband is in Duluth FPC and I am on state parole in Iowa. His couselor submitted everything for us. If you recently got released Do NOT get discouraged if they deny you the first time. That's what they did to me. I haven't seen my husband in almost 4 years so I know how tough it is. ~Angela
