i met my man through a mutual friend. we started writting, then visiting, and 2 years later we married. that was 17 years ago and i'm still waiting for him. i don't regret any of it. we are perfect for each other and my kids love him and call him their dad. at first my family and friends scoffed at it but have accepted it and him. i feel very lucky and greatful that we are together. even if it gets tough sometimes.

That is beautiful ! My story is similar. I knew him when he was out but we did not connect til after he went in. We will be getting married this year and I plan on staying by his side for the next 14 years he's got on the inside and the rest of the years God blesses us with when he comes home :love:

I will NEVER leave this man. Like you, he has given me more love and support than any man I have ever known on the outside. It is NOT always easy and there are days I just miss him more than I can stand...but then he calls and its all good again.

17 years, we'll get there too. I was introduced by mail to my husband through a mutual acquaintance. He had been in for 5 years of a 20 year sentence when I met him. We have been married for 11 years and he has his parole for April 27. Our wait is almost over.
