HI,

My husband is in jail with parole hold. The victim has expressed to me that he now feels that he wrongfully accussed my husband. I told him to write a letter to the board and contact the police involved. Tell them you have made a mistake. He is afraid but willing to do so. Is there any kind of form or proccedure he needs to know about?
Again Thank You
Melinda

If he is being held with only a parole hold, he needs to call your husbands PO and maybe the PO Supervisor. Follow that up with a letter. Even if they don't release him now, that should get him released when he goes to his board hearing, which will be within 45 days from the day he was picked up.

Thank you so much. They have now charged him with grand theft. Should I continue to write a letter to his parole officer as well as his supervisor? And the parole board? A woman came to visit him and told him the only way he could get out of this was to have the victim write a letter saying that he has made a mistake and wants to change his statement. Is that true? ill that help?
