Hi my name is Tiffany,
My husband is at wasco, and I live in Il i moved here eight months ago. Anyway he is soon to be realesd and he is still stuck in reception, so we are thinking that he won't have enough time to get the paper work stated for the interstate compact. If he doesn't make it to main line b4 he gets paroled, can the parole officer who ever it may, can he/she get him into a drug progarm? He does not want to go to a half way home or sober living house, he has been there and done that, and it is easier to get drugs in there. So mu question is can my husband tell the parole officer that he wants to go the phoenix house instead of halfway home or sober living home? Our plan is to get him into the phoenix house and hopefully get the ball rolling on the interstate compact. He has no where to go when he gets paroled? What are his options? I know in the parole hand book it has some tips on what to do while in prison, the thing is that he is still in reception. He can't apply for his I.D or social security card while in reception or can he? It says to write to his parole officer but he doesn't event know who it is. His counselor said that once he gets paroled and shows up at the parole office that's when he will find out who his parole officer will be. Is there any way to find out sooner? Any information is very appreciative. Thank you.

Denver knew who his PO was going to be at least a month before he released. If he's that close, call the parole office and ask them who is agent is. They will know.
