TheGeneralsWife 02-23-2006, 01:40 PM Yes girl I live in San Jose, only an hour away but I get there like at midnight and then sleep outside waiting for 6:30 to roll around so I can go get my pass. The Salinas Valley line is so much crazier then the CTF line. I get there that early and last week I was #39 on Saturday and #38 on Sunday, and they were taking forever to process people through so I was glad I was in the 2nd group. When you get your pass you can just go ahead and ask the officers what to do, they will give you the whole run down on the process. I'm not exactly sure how they do it at CTF because when my cousin went there I just used to drive right up to the prison and let her out. Now I know you have to get in line with us outside and then drive in at 6:30 to get your pass. I am supposed tog ive this girl a ride this weekend, and she goes to CTF, so if I take her I will as her what she has to do to get in.
lolis 02-23-2006, 05:22 PM i would like to know if there is another way to get in faster i live 260 miles away i wen to visit my son for the first time on sunday 2/21 he is on e yard there is hardly any visitors in that yard i got in at 12:30 there were only 3 visitors and i had to wait in line outside the prison to be process since 8:30 and there were no other visitors going to the E yard your info will be deeply appreciated god bless you all.
momof1angel 04-11-2006, 04:08 PM Okay I just got approved for visits. My boyfriend told his cousin that he thinks our first visit might be through glass because its his first visit. How much of that is true. Also I know by reading the other posts that A Yard is almost always on lockdown. Can someone find out the news about A yard(this is for SVSP.
Owwlala 04-12-2006, 12:25 AM Whether its his first visit or not it depends on how long he's been on A-yard. It takes 3-6 weeks for processing. Until then all visits will be behind glass and for one hour. The good thing about A-yard is that there are not alot of glass visits so sometimes you can stay all day. You will need to call and make an appointment. (831) 678-5500 X 5708 to get thru to the visiting dept. You can make appointments for the upcoming weekend but no dates in the future.

 That Early?! No Way?!
I've Been Out To Soledad Twice, Once (Non-Contact) & The Second Time, Just This Last Weekend (Contact), & I Got There Between (8:30 AM. - 10:00 AM.), & I Had No Problem Getting In, & I Was Able To Stay Until The End Of Visiting 3:00 PM, However, I Noticed Them Making Some Of The Early Arrivals Leave Early :( To Make Room For Other People Coming In.
Iniki 08-31-2007, 09:39 AM For good information about lining up outside the prison to get your pass, read the "sticky" on this page:
Sticky: Before visiting please check out how the CTF/SVSP "LINE" for Visiting Works
GOOD LUCK!
