What does keep lock mean? Are you confined to your cube and loose phone priviledges and things like that or are you sent to the box? Also how long are you usually in keep lock?

Keep lock is confined to cube or cell. The BOX is the SHU. If he has gotten to the point of keep lock he has surely lost the use of the phone. As far as time it can be as little as ten days or up to 30.

Being on keep lock isn't as bad as being in the box but you do loose privileges like getting packages . You can however still get a visit and regular mail.

keep lock still no packages, only markers/mags and books no food/clothes...

I hope my fiance does not experience any of these. Isn't just being locked up and away from your family punishment enough for them.
