I anyone expiercing a mail delay in and or out of CCC?

Yes...seems to be taking between 4 and 9 days for letters to get to me and 7 to 12 days for my pen pal to recieve my letters...That's on Lassen yard, but I've heard it's the whole facility...have heard no reason why.

Ok..I was really worried as to what was going on. How long does it normally take for your mail? This is driving me nuts!!

Hi Blessed i guess it depends on where u are. I got his letter from Friday Today. I live In Stockton.

Has anyone been experiencing bad connections on the phone calls? The last three times he has called me from CCC Susanville, I could barely make out what he was saying. I could barely hear him.

Yes, definate mail delay, in and out. Sometimes it takes up to 19 days for him to get mail. Got a late Valentine yesterday and a letter, both postmarked Feb 10, that's 11 days!

I have also before gotten mail to other people, from another convict, in the envelope he has addressed to me. (I mailed it back to the guy, because fortunate for him he had written his info. in the letter he mailed.) Also in that letter was a photo that did not belong to either my guy, or the guy whose letter came in the envelope. There are some issues with the mailroom there, not certain if understaffed?

Yes, and bad quality on some of the phones. (Sierra), I guess there's one in particular to avoid.

There is a bad phone connection on Cascade yard. I believe this phone is outside. He was freezing and he mention that he was standing outside in the cold. All the lines inside where tide up Poor baby! The line was so bad that he had to hang up due to lack of connection.Mail for me has been 7 to 12 days to receive his mail. I believe is taking him the same amount of days to get my mail. He mention that he mailed my Valentine Card but as of today nothing in the mail?What is going on with the mail!

Ok. I just got a letter today postmarked 2/16 and dated 2/14. I also have not received a phone call in a while. Sounds like things are really messed up....up there. If they are makign those kind of mistakes....it kind of makes me not want to send anything too personal. Has anyone called to find out what is going on?

I got a letter postmarked feb 21 today, that when I talked to him on Tuesday he said he mailed over a week ago. GO FIGURE.

He found another phone that was not in use and left this phone and called me back on the other. He said he told them that the phone didn't work and they said there is nothing wrong with it. What makes me mad is it is costing me money and I am not even able to make out what he is saying. My mail also is slow getting here. What I used to get in 4days sometimes 2 is now taking 7 to 9 days to get. I don't know what is happening there but I wonder if anyone does....

my husband is in HDSP and the mail I send to him takes about a good two weeks. However, the letters he sends to me I receive in about two to three days.

My ex-husband is on Cascade yard also and he just tried to call here for the first time tonight. He made three attempts before giving up. The onlything I heard was Susanville and press 1 to accept the call and then the call would drop, I couldn't here anything before that. Very frustrating, because my son is waiting to here from his father.

My husband is in the Gym does anyone here have delays from this yard too. In a way it will be kind of a comfort because I haven't heard from him since he got transferred (2weeks ago)

I spoke with Valdez last night and he said that the mail is like 10-12 days behind again so who knows

This mail delay is driving me nuts. Anyone else still having the same problem?

My son sent me a letter on Feb. 22 and I got it Feb. 27. Thats only 5 days so not too bad. I am mailing one out to him today and I wonder how long it will take. Especially since it is a money order and stamps. Does it make a difference which yard they are on? For the longer delay I mean?

I don't know if the yards make a differenceor not. But it sounds like maybe the are speeding things up. It really makes me upset when they play with the phones and mail. So I just keep sending my husband letters cards impirational messages. i figure he is bound to get them sooner or later. I also figured maybe the more mail they get....it will encourage them to hire more mail room folks or refigure the process.GRRR!

My son is in Cascade Yard and I got a letter today 3/2 that he wrote on Feb. 26. That is four days so better than it was. Now if they would work on that phone!

Today I got a letter mailed 2/28, pretty fast for CCC! :eek:

Sounds like the mail is getting better

Got a letter dated from my baby from the 1st. Today's the 3rd so they must be catching up on imate outgoing mail. Hopefully they are doing as well with the ingoing too.

Bam84...did you call today to find out what is going on. I have not recevied any mail from my husband since 2/14. When I talked to him last friday he said the last piece of mail he received from me was dated 2/14. What the heck is going on up there????

My ex-husband said he received three letters from me from mid Feb on 3 March. But this week I received a letter from him dated the 2 March on 5 March. That was the quickest. He is on Cascade yard.

I talked to my baby tonight. Her daid mail is behind for them going in about 8-9 days. just thought some of you might want the update. muahzzzz

I wasn't having any problems receiving his mail but they're taking forever to give him my mail.

hey all! i'm kinda new to this, but im havin trouble with the mail!!! my man is in ccc, i think he just got moved to the lassen yard, and i haven gotten a letter since late feb!:( i think he might have gotten in troublebut but i dont know because no mail, and no phone calls! ! cant get any kind of info from anyone there! so im really in the dark! also im on my 2nd visiting form that i sent in on jan 28th, and havent herd anything from that either . usually the mail is purdy good cause im close! this sucks!

thanks! :) still no mail... :( but im hopein that i'll get something soon, i got so many different thoughts goin through my head since i haven herd from him and the chick i talked to from r&r made it sound like he was in lotsa trouble, maybe he's scared to tell me he might have gotten more time?? i dunno, but its drivin me crazy! :) but how long should i wait b4 i start worriein' more? or call (if i can) and find something out. we're not married so i dont think theres much of anything i can do. if someone knows anything i can do, HeLp! :) thanks!!!

If he is in trouble maybe he had his phone and mail priveleges cut for a while. Can you talk to his counselor. They may know more. Sorry that you are going through this. I definitely would try to talk to his counselor to allay your worries.

ive called his counselor, he dident tell me much, except that they put him in ad-seg... he knew he was goin to move cuz his security level was higher and he was in a low security level. but his counsler dident say anything about him not bein able to send mail, but he did say no phone calls, and that he couldent tell me much. and they can restrict their incoming and outgoin mail???

I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. I knwo it sucks to not know what is going on. Do you have any idea what he might have done? Do you know if he caught any more time? Well, I do hope for the best of luck for you two!!!:thumbsup:

thanks, i know he'd gotten written up 2 times from the last time a talked to him, but i dont know what he could have dun, maybe some respect issue with another person or a guard, he says the guards (on the yard he was on) were assholes, that they punked the men, since they HAVE to be good tryin to go to fire camp, but my man shouldent have been on that yard, he's a higher security level, he cant go to fire camp.. but yeah, maybe a riot poped off. i have no idea really.. and GOD i prey he hasent gotten any more time! that would suck! but thanks, could use a little luck! :)

well i finaly got a letter!, good news, i get to go see my hunnie finaly!!! YAY!!! im so excited! bad news, he's in the hole, and they might try to give him more time.. :(
