I heard that this morning 2/20/06 at CTF South Yard (Level 1) around 0200 hours an alarm was sounded in Dorm 2! A white inmate had been slashed three times in the side of the neck; he “said” he was attempting suicide. Lacerations were deep and the inmate had to be taken to San Jose via helicopter.

Now thats the kind of stuff I worry about daily. I tell my boyfriend to never let his guard down, and please be safe. Okay, here is the deal he is definately is considered a frequent flyer to the prison system. This will be his 15th time in prison. How the hell does anyone go that many times? Lots of the visits were parole violations, but you would think he would learn. So I guess he knows the ropes and how to be careful, but I still cant help but worry, especially when I hear news like you just posted, Megan. Thanks again for the info.

I know what you mean Shawnie, I am so worried about things like this happening. I know that Level Ones are supposed to be less violent then then Level Fours, but it is all prison and anything can happen. It is so scarry. Was the guy taken to Valley Medical? Thats where I work and thats where Bob Sillen, the guy who is taking over the CDCR's healthcare works, so I am a little curious.
