Ok now you're almost out of the 70'S!

Its getting closer every day.I would be busy fixing his room if I had the money.I just know its going to be a last minute run to the stores and shop shop shop. But it will be fun. I called his probation officer and the dodos still arent sure. Even tho the guy says he was approved earlier. Its just they are double checking and making sure. yeah right. I am hanging in there. My son has been calling more than ever.He says the closer the time gets the more he wants to be in the know what is going on at home. I am so ready for him to get here. I am going shopping tomorrow for his clothes to wear out of there. Nice and new for the new man making a fresh start. I havent painted his room yet cause the paint was in the car my mom totaled (not her fault) And splattered all over inside of the trunk of the car. Have to buy some more. grouchpotato...We also are doing some things in our son's room. We told him for Christmas (of course he was gone away but not forgotten) we are getting him a new bed. Yes he will be coming home, he has no job lined up to pay rent anywhere. He needs to come home to work on himself before he gets into any other kind of relationship. I am not in the Moms and Dads of Inmates, how do I join? Well the baby (I think I told you I babysit a 6 month old little girl) needs me.

I am getting stressed again. I am up one day and down the next. My son is in CM. Someone stoled his radio and he told them who did it and now they are afraid he will be attacked by the guys friends So they put "HIM" in confinement! Its not right. He wants out in general population and they wont do it. I will be the happiest mom on earth when all this is behind us. His room is going to be a haven for him. HURRY UP MAY 22 . 28 more days ....yes it really is flying by now. My son is out of CM and he is coming home in four more weekends. That makes it seem even sooner. His room is looking so good. Found a nice lamp and nightstand. He is not even going to know his own room. Only thing left to do is get a new door and lock. Oh its so so close. I found some yellow ribbon to tie around an old oak tree. LOL.. Remember the song ...Tie a Yellow Ribbon round the old oak tree ? Its been 3 long years .. do you still want me?

I am also getting my son home in May. But he has chosen to go into rehab. It has been very hard to find a place for him because he doesn't want to have it be part of his parole, I guess too much limits that way. I am getting so stressed trying to find a facility that is available as soon as he gets out. No waiting list because he says he is kind of afraid to come home for long and then not want to go. I am so proud that he has made this choice and knows he needs more help. Wish me luck that we find the best place for him. I am praying for guidance all the time. He will be home so soon, we have not seen him in over one year. I might not let go of my hug for my dear son.

STRESS??? Oh I know the feeling well. I pray you find exactly what place your son needs. It is smart of him to realize his need. Ask for help if you need it from someone close to you.

These posts have made me excited and tears........PMS moment? My son will be returning home as well.........out date June 13th. I am excited and scared to death. We are also in the process of remodeling a room so he has privacy and will get it all in order for him. The reality of his return did not hit home until I read this thread and also the thread with the artricle of "coming home." Wow!! My son will be home with his family, I will be able to see his face in the a.m., I won't have to wait for the collect call. At this very moment I don't know if it will be more overwhelming for him or me. Praise God!!!! He will get us all through this.

CONGRATS GROUCH! :D

Well my son is on his way home. Our sons shared the same release date. I didn't want to say much because until it happened I did not want to get myself excited. His dad went to pick him up and left this morning at 4am they should be home by noon. I have not seen him in over one year so I can't wait to hug him. He will be going to rehab tomorrow. It was his choice and we are so happy about this choice. He will be about one hour away and it is a very nice place. They have been so helpful. Hope you and your son do very well.

Congrats...I know you were the happies mama alive Sunday!!

WE DID IT ! WE DID IT!:thumbsup: We made it thru the ordeal of incarceration.:yay: :D :D :D :D :D I was a happy mom alright on Monday. I would have posted sooner but the puter was on the fritz since Thursday. My son had to fix it. We have been running around doing all his business . I took his clothes to him and the Co said go back to your car and the guards will bring him out to you. DO NOT RUSH THE FACILITY! What a bunch of doofuses!:cool: I told my nephew that was with me. I know darn well they arent going to walk him way out here in the parking lot. They are too lazy.. sure enough they didnt even attempt to . They told my son just one hug and kiss and get in your car and get out of here. :mad: I wish I could have given them a piece of my mind. GRRR. I have been smiling ever since. Thanks guys for being there for me. I will be still checking in from time to time. Love you all. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Congrats Grouch I feel you on the COs I had one scare the crap out of us and told us to go then followed us off the property! Like we wanted to be there. LOL. Glad to hear he is home and everything is going great. I will pray for you all.
