shawnie21 02-19-2006, 04:41 PM Hi everyone: My name is Shawn and my boyfriend is at CTF North Facility, we have been together for a year, and he has two years to do, and then the nightmare of all nightmares, will be over. Hope2BaRn 02-20-2006, 04:24 AM Hi  everyone, I am Hope2BaRN. My brother is at CTF North he has been there for about 2 1/2 years (he was given 12 yrs. :() It's nice to see others who have family there too !!
meganyg21 02-20-2006, 01:38 PM :wave:Just wanted to send a warm WELCOME to everyone in our new SVSP/CTF group...... :grouphug: Megan
skatergirl 02-20-2006, 02:36 PM Hi! My name is Ute and my best friend is at SVSP A yard. We are writing, speaking on the phone (IF there is no lockdown :ha: ) for 2 years now. Actually we share more I ever did with anyone else in my life...I hope I`ll save money some time soon to finally go visit him  Hello everybody!
My brother is on North B-yard. He's been at CTF for about a year, and was at DVI in Tracy for about 9 years before that (and a few places in the juvenile system before that--he went in as a teenager). He's a lifer, so I'm envious of everyone with a countdown to when your loved ones get out!!
Hope2BaRn 02-20-2006, 05:15 PM JMK, I'm envious as well. It's nice to see you here. I see you said your brother is a lifer, I have never seen anyone on here who had a loved one at CTF with more than a year or two to do.
JamiesFeatherwood 02-21-2006, 02:39 AM Hello california! My name is Vonda and i have a penpal in svsp. he is a lwop and I hope to learn as much as i can about his life on the inside. right now he is in ad/seg and the mail is slower than a snail.
meganyg21 02-21-2006, 09:42 AM Welcome to the Sub-Forum !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TheGeneralsWife 02-21-2006, 12:04 PM Hi I'm The General's Wife, and yep I am married to MY General, who is also a lifer at Salinas Valley, C yard. We have been there for, well he has been there since 1996, when it opened, and I have been with him since 1998 right when I turned 18. We have a 5 year old daughter together and we are hoping for parole sometime in 2008, he got a 3 year kick back in 2005. So everyone please keep your fingers crossed and keep us in your prayers.
JaimeeLynn 02-21-2006, 06:26 PM I see you said your brother is a lifer, I have never seen anyone on here who had a loved one at CTF with more than a year or two to do.
...I pray that's true!
Hi all!
I'm Jaimee. My husband is a lifer also. He's been down 23 years (on a 15-L), we have been together 12 of those years. My husband's at CTF North. He's been to 9 other prisons before this and has been at CTF since 1997. Still no date yet, but, I serve an awesome God, so, I have hope!
I rarely get up there since they did away with Thursday & Friday visiting, but, when I do get a weekend off, I will definitely look you all up so that we can have some dinner together after visiting!
JMK, I'm envious as well. It's nice to see you here. I see you said your brother is a lifer, I have never seen anyone on here who had a loved one at CTF with more than a year or two to do.
Hope2BaRn--glad you're here as well! I've just started using this site in the ongoing attempts we all have to get as much information as possible! Hopfully my brother will only have a year or two more to do, but that's up to the parole board at this point--anyone who's connected to a lifer knows better than to assume anything when the bpt is involved. He was transferred from DVI to CTF in early 2005, and we're still getting used to this place. There are so many more lockdowns, riots, and general craziness then we've seen in our 15 years dealing with this system.
FaithHeals 02-21-2006, 06:59 PM Hi everyone. My name's Stephanie, and my husband is in SVSP B yard, with a little over 12 years left to do.
Stephanie
Hope2BaRn 02-21-2006, 10:26 PM Hi again. It's nice to meet you all !!! I am sorry so many of you have loved ones with so much time it really sucks !!
CTF does seem to be on lockdown all the time for any and all reasons !! I hope things get better there soon.
I myself don't get up there to visit my brother much either because it's so far, and my 2 yr old daughter, husband, school, and so many other things. It makes me feel so bad but he understands and I try to make up for it in other ways like letters, book, magazines, etc.
JMK, JaimeeLynn, and TheGeneralsWife, I hope and pray your husbands/brothers get a chance to come home soon!!!
Hope2BaRn 02-21-2006, 10:29 PM FaithHeals, I forgot to mention you too. I hope things are as good as they can be for you and your husband. I hope time passes quickly for you two. My brother was sentenced to 12 years in 2003 so I hope his time passes as quickly as it has been.
skatergirl 02-22-2006, 08:06 AM I forgot: my friend has also LWOP :(
Owwlala 02-23-2006, 12:58 PM Hola chicas! I'm Owwlala aka Triste. My fiancee and I are doing time at SVSP - A yard.
Jenco 02-23-2006, 01:59 PM My brother is on North B-yard. He's been at CTF for about a year, and was at DVI in Tracy for about 9 years before that (and a few places in the juvenile system before that--he went in as a teenager). He's a lifer, so I'm envious of everyone with a countdown to when your loved ones get out!!
i cant even imagine the anguish of no end in sight they will start reducing the sentences as the money runs out as it will when large numbers of guards start to retire--so dont give up hope dont ever give up jenco
NENAZ 02-23-2006, 03:22 PM Just wanted to say hello to all the SVSP/ CTF Ladies. Hope everyone is doing good.

First of all I want to thank you all for the helpful information I have been able to get from this web site. My husband is at SVSP B yard. I was finally able to see him in person after 2yrs. (No more glass):)
Thanks for the info. on SVSP it really made it less scary for me when I went this last weekend for the first time. I thought the COs would be more strict but they were actually kinda cool .
TheGeneralsWife 02-24-2006, 12:12 PM Hey Nora we are glad to have you here and next time you are up visiting check out our get together thread, it would be great to see all the SVSP/CTF visitors!

NORA E 02-25-2006, 08:57 PM Hola Nenaz,
It's good to hear from you.:) I can only imagine how fustrating it must be to have to wait for them to take their sweet ol'time processing whatever they have to "process". I"ll be praying that it happens like real fast. Be careful on your drive when you go up there, I know how anxious one feels I could not get there fast enough luckily no CHP noticed.:p
take care
Nora
NENAZ 02-26-2006, 09:00 PM Hello Nora,
Thanks lady! Becareful when you drive down there, that's one thing I'm not looking foward to is the drive but my baby is so worth it. Take care of yourself always.

NORA E 02-27-2006, 12:20 AM Ya I'll be careful. The one thing I don't look foward to is sitting on me rear for so many hours. 6hrs on the road then the other is waiting in the car line and it's so cold up there it's not like I want to be out walking around at 4am. But like you say my honey is worth it.
TheGeneralsWife 02-27-2006, 04:14 PM You guys are so right, we do crazy things for our men, but they are worth all that. Just be careful on 101, I've been seeing so many more Sherriffs and CHP officers on the road. Since I've been stopped for speeding before racing to get to a visit, its like they like to keep you there just to mess with you.
LissaS 03-09-2006, 11:59 AM My name is Lissa and my husband in in CTF South. One year and 29 days until this is over!
TheGeneralsWife 03-09-2006, 12:47 PM Great to see you here. There are a bunch of ladies here that go to CTF, so hopefully you'll be able to jump on in and join the family. Check out our get together thread too, becuase we would love to meet you in person too!
NENAZ 03-10-2006, 07:34 PM Hey Ladies has anybody heard from NORA??? Lady where are you?
My little Sister from another mother is MIA too TINA where are you?
Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed weekend.
NORA E 03-17-2006, 02:47 PM Hello,
Sorry I had'nt checked in but I went away to a church activity to the Bay area last week. It was what I needed to keep me going. I praise and thank God becuase he so GOOD. I took advantage that I was in the area so I was able to visit my husband on Sunday. But i think that someone upstairs was trying to teach me a lesson on patience. Here I was waiting in my car because the rain was coming down kind of fast. The line was @ 40 and below (my # 61) so I get my things all ready car key and $ in clear little pouch so I go to put my purse in the back of my car and dummy here locks everything in the car :banghead: . I was so ready to break a small side window. I even asked the officer in the parking lot if he had a slim jim but of course no such luck. Thank God for Friends Outside they called a tow truck who then opened up my car for me. It delayed my visit for about an hour and put back my pocketbook by $55. But in the end my visit was worth it :) . I hope everyone has a nice weekend

angelldeb2006 04-15-2006, 02:09 AM Hi everyone, :)
My name is Debbie and I am from San Francisco. My fiance was transferred in Feb. 06 to SVSP. I have not had a visit yet, but hope to as soon as I get more info. Thank God for this website and all you sweet ladies for giving out info. How wold I know what yard he is in?.
He was in Pleasant Valley and the visits were nice. You can call and set up an appointment which was cool because you did not have to wait long. I heard that does not happen here. Is there a program where you can hook up with someone to get a ride? I know you have to be careful who you pick. Any info. would be great.
Happy Easter to everyone and God Bless
Debbie:D

Diana714 04-17-2006, 06:25 PM Hello ladies..............well I'm new to all of this, but my boyfriend just got to Soledad last week. From what I hear it's awful. I'm extremley sad, but I'm trying to stay strong for my daughter.
meganyg21 04-17-2006, 07:04 PM No its not that bad. Trust me I thought the same thing but now that he has left CTF I am sad and wish he was still there. Do you know what his point level is? If he is a level three he will go to North and there is a lot of lockdowns and ‘drama” that happens. If he is level one or two is could either be central or south facility and those seem to be a little bit calmer. Let us know if you need any help…..
Megan

My name is Pauline and I have a son at CTF in Soledad. He was sentanced to six years been there for three. I have heard less and less from him. He turned 21 April 12th. I have not been able to see him yet so I really dont know whats going on. I enjoy reading about anything that has to do with whats going on there. Thanks to all of you for your information and support.
momfriendwife 04-18-2006, 03:32 PM It's really not that bad. The downfall for us is that they are so far away. Believe me there are worst places he could be. Cheer up and hang in there okay. Hit us up if you need anything or if you just want to talk Okay... Welcome to our family.
Nissan's Girl 04-22-2006, 09:37 PM I've been checking into this forum for a month now but never stopped by to introduce myself. Sorry! :o
My name is Pam and my beloved Imzadi (keeper of my heart) has been in CTF Central since June 2004. Before that he was in Centinela or as he calls it the "Valley of the Dry Bones" desert hot box!
Our story is rather unique. We were married (supposedly) on August 13, 1997 by Ivy House. It wasn't until much later we found out that marriage was not legal. We vow to keep that marriage date and to do it in person next time!!!!!:D

rswilliams 05-04-2006, 12:50 AM Hello, my name is Reilly my husband was just sent to ctf soledad 2 days ago from wasco, im just a mess, patiently awaiting a letter from him, how long until i can visit? im new at all this any help/advise would be greatly appreciated. God Bless everyone and your loved ones.
meganyg21 05-04-2006, 01:05 AM Hi and welcome to our little family…..Do you know what level points your husband has? If he is level one or two he will either be at Central or South Facility, if he is level three he will go to North Facility. As long has his race/group is not on lockdown you can always visit, however until he goes to classification his visits will be behind glass (usually takes a couple weeks). South and Central are usually on normal program and have visits but North Facility B yard is locked down (no visits) for Blacks, Southerners, and Whites, A yard is locked down (no visits) for Northerners. If he just got to CTF he is probably at Central in X-wing awaiting classification, and he can not use the phone. Once he placed in his housing unit and is able to go to yard (meaning he is not on lockdown) then he can call you. Hope this helps…….you can always call the prison’s inmate records and ask for his mailing address that way you can start to write to him.

JonsDad 05-10-2006, 11:43 PM Hello from Tennessee! My name is Dennis and my son Jonathan was recently transferred to SVSP from RJ Donovan. I know nothing about SV and am anxious to learn about where Jon is calling "home" these days. His address says he is assigned to C4-205 - anybody know which yard that is? Anyway, I'm glad I found this place!

lc3382 06-28-2006, 11:57 PM Hello all,
I thought I stop by to introduce myself and say a heartfelt THANK YOU for all the valuable information on SVSP! I am new here. My younger brother was sentenced to oh so many years I can even say it, in March 2006 and is at SVSP "C yard" since May. I have had a few panic attacks b/c I have never dealt with the prison system and I really don't know what to expect.
I grew up in Sacramento and now live in Oakland (Rockridge area). I also have an older and younger sister. I enjoy travelling, cooking, running, and spending time with family and friends.
My best,
LC

Hello everyone,
A friend of mine is in CTF, Central, and I'm in Sweden.
It is strange how loooooong even the best day can seem when you haven't heard anything for a while, when you're not sure if he's safe or not. I find these forums to be very helpful when it comes to information, thanks to all of you!
Emm
TheGeneralsWife 07-06-2006, 11:01 AM Welcome Emm, its nice to see you here!
Thanks for the welcome, TheGeneralsWife. I am beginning to wonder if there's a widespread lockdown at CTF or something, has anyone heard anything? My friend usually calls me once a week but I have heard nothing for two weeks now. Being on the other side of the big puddle (the Atlantic) I don't always get to hear when something is going on.
I'm greatful for any kind of information.
By the way... we all know how Sweden is famous for cold weather etc... the last couple of weeks it's been 85 to 95 F here:) ! Not one of those really humid heats but one of those dry and nice heats. Not bad. It's good to have something nice while I am waiting... and worrying.... and wondering.
Thanks again for the welcome!
Emm
Emm-
Your hunch was right. I don't know exactly what happened, but there was an incident on Central and everyone was locked down. I was there last weekend to visit (North) and there was no visiting for anyone at Central. I heard that there was a stabbing last Wednesday, but that's just word-of-mouth rumors. But I'm sure whatever caused visiting to be lost explains why you haven't gotten any phone calls.
Someone with a loved one at Central may be able to let you know the current status of the lockdown.
And I visited Sweden in the summer one time and remember the weather being beautiful! Welcome to our forum!
JMK
So now I know I really should be worried.... I really hate not knowing!
Lockdown keeps him from calling but shouldn't delay mail, should it? His friends on the inside know they should call me if anything happens so I hope that the fact that I have heard nothing means that he's fine.
Anyone with contacts at Central know anything? I'd be really greatful for information. Thanks in advance.
Sweden is pretty yes but the weather isn't always this good.
Thanks again for the welcome and everyone take care.

calipeanut 07-06-2006, 08:37 PM Hi everyone,
My name is Pauline and I have a son in CTF(North), Soledad. As of yet I still havent been able to visit my son. It just seems one thing or another keeps stopping me from seeing him. He is going on 3 years there. I would love to chat with anyone that has someone at CTF. My email is Calipeanut@aol.com I hope you that have visited will feel free to share your experiences with me. Sincerely, Pauline
There was an incident last week in Central the prison said that two inmates were fighting on the yard and refused several verbal commands to stop so the tower officer had to fire the gun and struck one inmate in the leg, after that the inmates complied and stopped.
If you are worried about your loved one you can always call the prison’s record’s department and then ask for his mailing address, that way you can tell if he has moved cells or bunk if he has something might be up. Ad Seg is O wing or X wing.
If they are on lockdown the mail is processed but might be slower.
Emm

brat_waiting 10-31-2006, 12:43 PM My fiance is in 'orientation' for the next 2 weeks, but level 1 so should be South eventually. I can't wait until he gets his phone privileges! He's doing 50% of a 2 year term, 10 months to go. I live in Utah now but probably moving out near there after Christmas, so looking for any info I can get. Please PM me!
luvmypapabear 11-06-2006, 11:37 AM Wow I've been on this site for 2 months and have never stopped to introduce myself:wave: ... My name is Dolores and My husband is in CTF North. He is supposed to be in South. After he spoke to his counselor this last week we hope it all works out that he will be moved over by Christmas. You may have seen me with my son out there in the cold we are the ones that look and act like brother and sister. :D This is my first time dealing with the system and as probably many of you feel I have learned that it sucks!... My Hubby has a brother who did 15 years previously, so he knows alot more than I do about all of this and tried to tell me the ups and downs of it all. Can't believe the bullshit:blah: Anyways, he received 3 years this past Feb right after our 11 year anniversary and before my sons 15th bday. We only have as of now 15 months 3 weeks (already put in time at county) That is nothing compared to some of you but it is still hard. Thanks for all the support that all of you have given me and to all my new buddies I met this past weekend you were all great! I wish everyone was as nice as you all. But you know everything happens for a reason and if they were I may have not been given the chance to meet and or ride with all of you this weekend. Thanks Again! And thanks to PTO!
TheGeneralsWife 11-06-2006, 11:50 AM Dolores, it is nice to see you here. Time no matter how much they are serving is still hard. So I am glad you found us, we love seeing you guys here!
Welcome to all the newcomers!

mine too. I can't believe, they knew he was supposed to be level 1 from reception, and still shipped him somewhere he won't get to be level one for another 60 days or more. Talk about a broken system!!!
luvmypapabear 11-07-2006, 12:54 PM Talk about a broken system!!!
Ha! want another one?... he also just found out he should have gone to Tehachapi (how ever you spell it) which would have been about 2 hours away from me instead of 5, put on the wrong bus or something... but he's at CTF now so he's staying put... but then if he was sent to Tehachapi I wouldn't have been able to meet some great ladies...:D

At a recent meeting at work the Human Resource Coordinator was talking about employee benefits, she held up a huge sign saying " Who knows what PTO means" the first thing that came to my mind was Prison Talk Online. But then the other side of my brain said no I think she's talking about paid time off. So I guess you could say I'm also kind of hooked :D

That is hilarious! And it's comforting to know I'm not the only one with the obsession. Do we all need a 12-step program for this?!?!? :)

Waitin4BlueEyes 01-23-2007, 06:59 PM Hi there,
My name is Jennifer and my fiance is at SVSP. We have a 3 year old daughter together and a little over two years left of being apart from each other.
We just recently moved to Oregon, right about the time he got transferred to SVSP. I hope to visit a few times a year so it's great knowing so many of you may be there when I come to visit. Friendly face's and laughter are blessing's while waiting to be processed:)
Hope to get to know some of you better through PTO!
Jennifer
KLINUS 01-23-2007, 07:24 PM Welcome, Jennifer. When the weather warms up, we will be out in the line having a tail gate party and barbecuing.

suzywuzy 01-26-2007, 12:12 AM My name is Sue and my boyfriend is at CTF Fremont Dorm. He's been at CTF for 10 months and we only have a little over 8 months to go and he'll be home. As I was reading the other posts I honestly have to give you all a lot of credit, I'm not sure if I could do more time than already have to do but those of you that have you're the greatest and I know you're men think the same thing! Sometimes this isn't an easy thing to go through but if you ladies stick together I know it will make things a little easier to cope with, knowing that someone is there for you does a lot for the soul!
Poway 01-28-2007, 07:52 PM Hi, My son is at SVSP B yard. This is all new to me. I'm terrified, but learning. I just found this web site. Wish I had found it sooner. Really don't know anything about the system or Soledad other then it's so far. At least it's close to a freeway:) My son had never been in jail before. He was sentenced to 6.5 years. He was a single dad. His son will turn 11 next month. It's so sad.....

Welcome Poway! One thing all of us ladies agree on is "we all had a first time", so we know how scary your first time can be and are willing to answer your questions and help out anyway we can. This whole prison thing is my first time also and I am still scared and my Hubby has less time than most of the ladies men here. I don't know how they do it. I know for me it's the support I get from them. We have quite a few ladies here that go to SVSP that can really help you out. Ask away on any questions and welcome again!
