:confused: First off let me say that I thank you ladies for all the information and support that you give. If it wasn't for you ladies I wouldn't know half of the information that I found out. My man is in KVSP and it's totally like that entire place is stuck in a time warp. He's only been there since December and I swear he hasn't gotten any of my letter's because it seems like we are having to different conversation when I get his letter's.

1. How many packages can be sent per month?
2. Is there a limit on the amount of money?
3. What phone service to they use? He keeps saying that when he calls he get's message that the number is blocked. I've called my phone company and they say that they don't and neither does any other company have a block on myb line.
4. Do I have to fill out that form again to be approved to visit? Does he have to send it to me or can I request one from the jail?

All I know about is the phone issue prison collect calls are diffrent than jail or pay phone collect calls. you have to call MCI to set up an account to get collect calls from your mans prison just tell them you want to reaeave collect calls from a prison they will connect you to the right depatment. 1. Once he is mainlined you can send one package every 3 months.

2. There is no limit to funds you can deposit, there is a limit to what he can spend $180 a month when mainlined. Note that currently the CDCR takes 44% of all funds sent in.

3. MCI is the service provider and if you phone is blocked you have to call and get the block removed, it's not fun but what is?

4. If you have not been approved to visit in a state prison, you must then be approved. He will have to mail you the form for which you complete and mail back. It takes anywhere from 4 weeks to 2 months depending on the institution.

Welcome!
As far as the packages that can be sent-once he is mainlined he can receive a package every quarter. The quarters are as follows:
Jan.-Mar.
Apr.-June
July-Sept.
Oct.-Dec.
You need to order the package thru an approved vendor. (You may have to call to see what vendor is approved).
As far as much money on their books-I'm not for sure...I thought the limit wa $200.00, but I could be wrong.
