Can anyone here tell me what to expect at Tutwiler? I was arrested for manufacturing last year. It has been put off and put off. I go back to court on feb. 28th. The DA is dead set on putting me in prison for 12 years even tho i'm clean now, and it was my first offence. I just want to prepare my family for the worst. What kinda stuff do i need to take care of now just in case? Thanks ya'll! :sneeze: :confused:

My Daughter has spent about 3 years in Tutweler and she found that the bestcourse of action was to take classes and stay busy. You go into an orientation process area and you are evaulated as to what security risk you are, then you will be assigned a dorm and depending on what your sentence comprises of..most likely SAP.."substance Abuse Program" sign up for it as soon as you can because of the waiting lists.
What County are your charges in? If Jefferson County maybe you could get intouch with the Drug Court Judge and see if you qualify with his program. I just thought abut this and because your charge is manufacturing you may not be eligible.
I will ask my daughter the next time she calls from the Life Tech Group to refresh my memory as she was there from April 03 till June 05, so if you have any questions please come in an list them so I can get you some answers.

My charges are in cullman county. my attorny already has me on the court referral program to show the judge a willingness to follow the program. I have the highest color so i drug test every week. as far as question go i guess i just want to basically know what to expect in general. i'm just freaked out about the whole situation. i did it one time and got caught with the supplies in my house. i've never been in trouble with the law before.

Babyjo if you are still out of prison pm me and i will tell you what i have heard about Tutweiler and i know all about Blaylock,Hardeman,Brunner,and i know how they feel there about manufacturing,but 12 yrs 1st offense?
I haven't heard of anyone getting that much time on 1st offense,serve 4 before parole elgible? Have you got Lisa or Cindy?

The best advice I can give is to mind your own business and keep your mind where your tail is. There is nothing a person can do for anyone on the outside but worry and that makes time hard and long. Don't get caught up in the state family stuff and always remember you have NO FRIENDS in prison.
