You questions aare fine and you will NEVER ask too many...that's what we are here for. I am going to move this to the Arizona forum since every state prison system has it's own rules. I'm sure you'll get your answers there.

Nicole,
If he is in State prison, he will get a 60 day review first then one every 6 months. Arizona doesn't really have "parole" anymore. Inmates are released on "temporary release" 3 months prior to their earned credit release date --- this is really the only parole they have now. (I believe there are some long timers who might still be under the parole clause.)
Right now Arizona inmates are required to serve 85% of their time. They call it 6 for 1. Essentially for every week of time, they can subtract 1 day for "good time".
As far as appeal...I have no idea. I think the attorney he had when sentenced could tell you when he can start filing an appeal.
Have you gone to the Arizona DOC website? You can look up the inmate and see when the next review date is sceduled for him. Their website : http://www.adc.state.az.us/ISearch.htm. I am not sure if you have looked around it or not, but it is full of information. At the bottom of the inmate search page is a site directory -- you can use that to find out just about anything at the DOC.
By the way, you do not need to apologize for so many questions. Please feel free to ask away! You can always pm me if you want too.
