Sebastian and I met in July 2003, we did 14 months on his bid together. He was home for 16 months and went back in January 2006. We are still very much together.

I met my now husband through his sister 3 1/2 years ago when he was in county jail on different charges. He came home 6 months later and since the first day I heard his voice we have been inseperable. We just were married this past November and if anything I know this time apart will only make us closer than we already were. So yes we are still together and now married!!

Yep, in fact we just got married July 8, 2005 which is also in the middle of our birthdays. :)

He went in 1993, we met in 1998, had a baby in 2001, married in 2003 and we have been going strong ever since. There were a few rough patches, but we made it through. We almost divorced in 2005 because we hadn't seen one another for over a year and it was getting really hard. We thought that they were trying to keep us apart, but we knew that our love was more then visits and seeing one another, it was real emotion, real love and we made it through.

WE are, he's coming home soon and we will always be together ;)

We met a couple of months before he went to jail but never were involved in any way. We fell in love through our letters a year ago, he got out in December but violated his leave exactly one month later and is now back in prison. We are more together than ever.

I met Tommy 17 months ago thru a pen pal web site and I never once imagined that I would be where I am today. I never had any expectations. Love found me. We have came along way and Im sure we will have all the good and rocky times together. I think it comes along with any relationship. I go and see him twice every month...that is all I am aloud as hes in a super max prison in Ohio. It sucks cause I'm only 4 hours from him and its really enjoyable to travel to Ohio but I make the best of our visits everytime I go. I just can't wait til hes moved to a closed camp. I will be going again March 11th and 12th.

I met mine while he was in a half way house, fell in love had a beautiful son and exactly one year after his release date from the half way house he went back on probation violation. Never saw his son be born, but we are going strong. We do have our problems but we know we love each other.

I met my man in 96 he got out in 2000, went back in in 03 and as of now we arent together.

I received my first letter in November of 2003, while he was in prison. We wrote back and forth till March of 2004. He got out, things went well, but went back to prison in September of 2004. I stayed by his side till March of 2005, but then couldn't do it any longer. To to this day we are still not together, even though he still writes me...

We have been together for 3 years, and have been married 15 months. Very much in love.

three years later and definitely stuck together forever--legally! lol.

Jan. 7th will be 7 years for us, it's certainly had it's shares of ups and downs but through them all our love is stronger than I could have ever imagined.

Yes, we met 5 years ago. We will be married for 4 years this March. It's hard, but I moved closer to him so now I can see him every weekend! That helps!! Our relationship is actually stronger now than ever! Funny, people can grow up so much in just a few years.

We started writing in November/December 2003, met in May 2004 and started our relationship then. So in May it will be 4 years. Out of those 3 years and 8 months he will have been free 7 months in the end of January. We're still doing this long distance... gets frustrating at times but we're good right now.

I'm not insecure in this relationship but I know how fragile this kind of thing can be.... so I purposely don't take anything for granted... don't want to jinx it by saying "we will be together forever".

Hi Tammy, sorry it didn't work out for you. Me & my wife have been married for over 12 years now. We were both incarcerated in Missouri prisons. I did 6 yrs 2 months & she did 24 months. We started writing while we were both locked up. I made parole first, went to a half way house, then down to Arkansas. She got out about a year later, came down to Ar. & we got married. We did our parole together (same PO). We are now retired & doing OK, so it can & does happen.I was just wondering how many of u were still together with ur man/woman since u met them while they were in?

Met in 06. Became engaged almost a year later in 07. Might be married by end of 08 but if not, for sure at the the beginning of 09. (Waiting to see what becomes of his custody level and possible upcoming transfer).

Ups and down are a given and the situation really wears on me at times. The funny thing is that when you decide how it is how and with whom you want to spend the rest of your life, you seem to want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible and even though you know that it's going to happen, waiting for it to happen (patiently) and without much control can be the hardest part. Oh well- we have gotten through worse and I know that we will get through anything else.
