View Full Version : Introduction to the PTO Prison Phones Forum (And info for PCO)
Fed-X 02-17-2002, 08:56 AM This forum was created in part because I have my own personal "axe to grind" over these issues.. I was going through my personal effects I brought back from prison and came across my inmate trust fund deposits and an itemized billing sheet on where the money went. I was shocked just how much money I spent on pre-paid phone calls, not to mention the collect ones. All of these calls were made via the federal prison's ITS II phone system.
I am now searching for info on the phone calls I made while in the Montgomery County jail in Texas. I recall they were charging over $20 per 15 minutes and the phones were constantly busy.. I will post all this here as I come across it..
This forum should be used to compare phone prices, phone companies being used, possible lawsuits to change the B.S. practices that the jails/prisons & phone companies are using to bilk inmates and their families out of money, and anything else related....
These phone SCAMS are just another way the criminal "injustice" system makes $$ of inmates and their families...

Fed-X 04-11-2004, 03:27 PM The sound level & video gets better as it goes..
Lysbeth 04-11-2004, 03:32 PM Oh, this is AWESOME! And not only do you get to watch and listen to Richard (who gave an awesome and very very informative talk that morning)... you get to watch Phil eat breakfast! :D
lovesaron 04-12-2004, 07:00 PM I watched it yesterday and got very good information.
I did have a qeustion for Richard and he got back to me very promptly.
I am just waiting for a quote to see if it will be worthwhile for me.
Thanks for the video. :)
Fed-X 04-19-2004, 10:04 AM He's the king of customer service IMHO.. However, he is over worked because so many people know where they can go to get the best service.. Thanks Richard for all that you do!
Hello Richard, it is nice to meet you. I have heard wonderful things about you. :)
Fed-X 06-04-2004, 11:33 PM I would like everyone to keep in mind that this is a Prison Phone Discussion Forum and NOT the PCO customer service department. It is understandable due to the fact that PCO is an advertiser here and that Richard often drops by that you might want to try and reach him in the forums, but posting publicly about customer service issues is NOT what this forum is about. I am not that you should have no dialog regarding PCO; only that you should exhaust all other means before posting about it.
If you need to get ahold of Richard for whatever reason, please either continue to call him, email him, or reach him here by sending a Private Message to "golf_buddy".
I know that Richard is very busy but he will get to everyone as soon as he can.
Thanks,
Fed-X

MrsBenji 10-10-2005, 10:16 AM In short, this forum is a place where we can discuss the problems we have with the phones and the services that we have to deal with when getting calls.
PLEASE remember that MOST states do not allow the use of CALL FORWARDING, REMOTE CALL FORWARDING, CALL WAITING, THREE WAY CALLS, CONFERENCE CALLS, and other such services and PTO does not in any way encourage or advocate using these services while on a call with an inmate in any facility.
Some people will tell you that you will not get caught or that the likelihood of getting caught is very low, but it does happen and the results can be minor to severe. From a few days in top lock to permanent loss of phone privileges.
