I don't get to go now. They somehow lost his file between yesterday and today. I got to talk to him beacuse we just found out they are trying to take his daughter away from her mother, so he got to make an emergency phone call to me. They swear by next week. Keep your fingers crossed.

That is so crazy, I hate to hear stuff like that. but I hope you get to go see him soon.

Thank you guys for getting Tina the message. We actually ran into each other by accident. So it all worked out. And Megan and The Generals Wife it was so good to put faces with the names. It made waiting so much better having people to chat with. See you in two weeks!!!!!

Okay I will be there on Sunday to visit....that is if they are not on lockdown again. :mad: So if you see me in line say "hi". Anyone else planning on visiting this upcoming weekend? On Saturday I said “I am not coming on Sunday” then on Sunday I said “I will come in a couple weeks” and now look at me…..I think I am addicted. Seriously though I am just worried that if I don’t go that they will be on lockdown when I want to go visit.

I miss him already. I want to come next weekend, too... But I don't know. Megan I got thrown out early at like 12:30. I am thinking it is better for me to go at 8am. I then get in by 10 am and then I can stay till 3. I just want to kiss him agian!!!!!!! He told me on the phone tonight that it was really cute the way I ran to him on Saturday. I didn't think that I did but then agian when I saw him I couldn't think much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be going this Sunday to visit. Jenn you think it is better to get there later? I don’t think anyone will be getting terminated from North that is if some are still on lockdown. I think I am going to get there at 4:30 same as last time. I was number 29 so I got in with the second group not bad.
Ladies, do you know if Sundays are busier than Saturdays for visiting? It seemed that way but I am not sure if it was because of that incident at SVSP.
I hope they are still off of lockdown when they update the visiting line on Friday.

Well I am going to go.... maybe save up a little bit so you can come for a weekend again. You are getting short to him coming home so don't stress over all of this “temporary” stuff; you have a bigger picture to look at. Before you know it he will be home in your arms and no one will be terminating you, its like unlimited family visits. I hope to see you soon waiting in line, or maybe I could go with you and hit up Denney’s and tell the waiter my story….lol

I will come up next weekend for both days. It's really not that much money I figure it's about $185.00 for the weekend. I guess I would spend that amount at home. The only problem is that the outlets are on my way home. LOL

The Gilroy outlets are on my way home too and I have to force myself not to stop at the Gap. It kills me but I know I need that money for the next visit. Just drive by fast so you can't see. $185.00 ain't too bad. It was like over $300.00 to see my brother in Pelican Bay one time.

I knew it Jenn! Your addicted to visiting….I totally understand I am the same way, I have to go see him:drool:. Carollee the outlets girl are the best and Gilroy just keeps building more and more shops its soooo tempting:no: . I hope everything is well at the prison and they stay off lockdown for this weekend so I can see you girls on

I have seen Kevin every weekend with the exception of 4 weekends in the last year. It's how we stay close.

PLeasse you guys, I need to change my husbands name from Trav to Addiction, because after that long ass break, I can't get enough. I'll be dead broke or floating a check, but I will have some visiting money. Look at me, thank God there are 3 pay days in March for me!

Okay ladies who is going to be visiting this weekend? I was going to go Sunday but now I think that I will go on Saturday (that is if they still have visiting.) I am not going to get there as early because I got terminated last weekend. I am thinking that I will get there around 6:30-7am you know after that crazy line is let loose. For all that are making the drive to Soledad be safe cause it will be wet and slippery, and watch the speeding on the 101 south they have undercover officers pulling people over. I don’t think any of us need the extra expense of a ticket!!!!!

Oh question, the officers stop passing out passes in the parking lot at around 7am right?

yes they stop passing out passes at 7am but then you just go over to the flag pole and there will be a line for Central and one for North/South and you just get in line right there:)

i am new to this site and my husband is in CTF south yard. I live in LA area ( SF Valley) and I am going to visit this weekend ( 3-11-12) I usually leave Sat afternoon cause I work Saturdays and I stay at motel 6 in King City so I can be there early Sunday morning. If anyone needs help with driving I would be happy to meet with you for ride shares.

Visiting was so good. Even the rain wasn't so bad. Okay so I am lying. It was miserable standing in line in the rain!!!!!!!!!!!! But well worth it. Who's going next weekend????

Ladies I have a question: I am going to visit this weekend 03/18-03/19. I am driving from San Diego and my husband told me that this past weekend was really bad on the roads. He said something about a 30 car pile up and to check with the CHP for weather conditions before coming up. Was the weather really that bad? And what route do any of you recommend if your coming up from my way. I will be traveling with my 2 kids and I hate driving in the rain.

I was there on sunday and on the way back to Sab Diego county I took the 101 to the 5 with no problems and hardly any traffic. It took me 6hrs to make it home.
I know you probably anxious to see your husband but be on the lookout for CHP I saw a good amount of them on the road. I hope you have a nice visit.

You can call the prison directly and give them your father's identification number (it should have a letter and 5 numbers), and they can tell you where he is housed, and his lockdown status. The main number for the prison is (831) 678-3951, and the extension for visiting is 4012. They are usually pretty nice and helpful when you call.

Also know that the prison makes final decisions about the visiting for the weekend on Friday afternoons, so if you call after 3 pm they can tell you if you'll be able to visit that weekend. It's not much notice, that's for sure! But if you call them today or tomorrow you can at least find out where your father is housed.

D Yard never really gets all the crowded so I don't know if any children are over there or not. But the good thing will be that you won't ever have to worry about getting terminated.

Who will be visiting this weekend 4/15-4/16? If the guys come off of Lockdown I will be there both days. Do you ladies think that Easter Sunday will be busy?

I keep waiting to post in here that I'm coming to visit, but my brother's been locked down this whole time, so I haven't been able to visit since the first weekend in February. But you can bet that the first weekend that he (well, whites on North B-Yard ) are allowed visiting my mom and I will be there! All my friends know that any and all plans we make on the weekends are subject to change after Friday afternoon when the visiting line is updated! I'm crossing my fingers that visiting will be allowed by the weekend of the 21st/22nd because my dad is flying out from Michigan to come visit.

I'll be there. I am dieing to show Kevin pictures of our new house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 28 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I really hope that they come off soon so your brother can see his dad. Your funny JMK you sound like the visiting hotline when you tell your friends “subject to change”….but I totally know what you mean.

We're keeping our fingers crossed! Plus my brother has his next BPT hearing in late May, so it's a particularly bad time not to have visits or even phone calls. He's got to be going through so much anxiety right now, and none of us can talk to him. Gotta love this system!!!:confused:

Well I will keep thinking positive for your family and your brother. I never really thought that they paroled lifers but when I was at the prison they did parole one. He had been given like 5 release date and all were taking away from him with in 72 hours of when he thought he was going home…. what a mind game. Finally he got his date and was released.
