Okay, I am planning a trip to Morelia, Mexico in April. Haven't flown in several years (before new security). I had no idea you could no longer be greeted at the gate in the US. Instead have to locate them somehow in the crowded baggage claim area. Didn't think it would be a problem since I would have already gone through customs in a previous airport. I will be traveling alone & thought maybe I'd at least have company at the start & end of my trip. Glad I found this out before my trip.

One piece of info I can't seem to find is if people can still see you to your gate in the US &/or Mexico airports. Did that change too?

Anyone been to Morelia, Mexico? Looking for any insight on the airport & things to see around that part of Michoacan, Mexico.

Unlikely, I think you need a boaring pass to get to the gates these days. Also, there was a new rule to take effect this January 1st, 2006 that you had to have a Passport to travel outside of US. If you don't have one check that out too. Traveling is not what it use to be things have really changed. I hope you have a good time in Mexico, it is one of my favorite destinations..

Actually, that law goes into effect on Dec. 31st, 2006. We just went to Mexico without passports. (birth certificates and pictures ID,s)

Yes, he will finally be out & deported on April 2nd. :D

Yes, it has completely changed..I went to cancun in june of 2005.
