What do you know, there is a half way house there! Why don't they tell the guys this before they put him on the street? He was waiting for the parole office to open up , but finally met his PO and instead of a week at a motel, is at Crossroads Ministries group home. I'm relieved he has someplace to live, and food in his belly. I'm crossing my fingers he gets a job now. He got far less than $200 gate money, and was out in "shower slippers" and had to immediately go buy clothes. I shipped clothes UPS 2 day but they wouldn't get them out of the warehouse, said they had to be processed and the next day sent them on their way back to me.

I have always heard that before release they get a Package slip 90 days so all this can be supplied?

Sorry to hear that your package is being shipped back!

HANG ON and enjoy the day that the two of you will be reunited!

What was the reason for not recieving the full $200.00 gate money?

The CDC does it so the inmate will meet with their PO. The inmate gets part of the gate money when they leave and then the rest when they see the PO. If you don't see your PO, no cash!! :(

ahhh, I guess that explains why he thought the PO would be able to help him. He was upset, and called me about 11am his time, that no one at all was in the parole office. I was worried that he spent his money on clothes and a phone card, and didn't leave money for food. I thought he just got $120 because he hadn't been in that long, that is what they told him. He was in on a probation violation. Kathy I was wanting to meet him in person for the first time! He is the brother of my foster kids and we located him in Jan. He doesn't have other family to help him. He and his brother in prison in Ill are my "invisible " foster kids. They take up quite a bit of my time, and money. And I'm sure you all know what I mean!
