I know I am supposed to go to the visitors center when I go to pick him up. Does that mean he is going to be walking out of the area we walk into the prison? When are they actually "released"? I'm getting so excited because it is coming up, and I just want to know some details. Thanks.

Finally I can answer someones question!!! My husband was released from Pleasant Valley in Novemver 2004. We (his parents and me) got there really early we ended up waiting almost 2 hours and it felt like YEARS!!! I want to say we got there around 6am!! After we checked in at visitor processing we went back to the car. You can not wait in the visitor processing area and we were all wearing jeans so they told us we had wait in the car. LAME!! Anyway, about an hour later we saw a line of men carrying large brown paper bags walk to the area just to the right of visitor processing. Then a little while later we saw some men get in a van. I assume those were the guys going to the bus station. About another 30 mintues after that a CO escorted my husband to the area where people who do not have appointments start to line up. FINALLY!!!!! We hugged and kissed real quick because we were told by the CO who escorted him there that we needed just hug real quick and then leave. The reason it took my husband a little longer to come out was because they made him shave his head. They said it was because the in picture on his prison ID card he was bald and he had to look like that picture. If you ask me it was bunch of crap but are you gonna do!

Anyway, congrats on your husband coming home!! You will remember this day for the rest of your life.
