Welcome to PTO...and the alabama family...When he gets to kilby he will have to set up a phone and visitor list. I don't think he can have visits at kilby. When he gets to ventress he will do the visit and phone list and it usually take a couple of weeks to get everything approved. to answer your question how do i deal with it...i take it one day at a time...it gets hard but you and i have the alabama family to talk to...keep your head up and stay strong...

Welcome Baby Jo,
I see Blueyez has filled you in on the process. My son is at Ventress, it is nasty, and the food is terrible. I know you are worried and scared for him, we all are for our loved ones. The support here and having faith is how I get threw each day, and again like Blueyez said one day at a time. If you have any questions about Ventress feel free to send me a private message.
God Bless
Linda

welcome to PTO and alabama forum

You will find loads of information, support and understand here.

Also, to let you know that everyone (men) that is, go thru Kilby. From there it seems to be anyones guess as to where they will be sent. Unless something has changed that i'm not aware of, Ventress is only one of the facilities that he might be transferred to.

Go ahead and give him all the information he needs for Phone/Funds list. Names, birthdays, Social security numbers, address etc. This will save time and things will move faster for him and you.

take care, and keep us posted
