Does anyone know whether the phones were off in Centinela today?

WOW, I LIKE THAT USERNAME MOM@4 I AM A "MOM" AND MY FAVORITE NUMBER IS #4 !! ANYWAY'S I WANTED TO KNOW THE SAME THING, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH PHONE CALLS, MY SON HASN'T CALLED ME FOR 1 MONTH ALREADY!!!!! HE IS BYARD & AB PRIVLIDGE.... I DONT GET IT, WHY WOULDNT HE CALL ME?? HE HAS WRITTEN!! MY BABY BOY WILL BE COMING HOME TO ME ON APRIL 12TH,2006!!!!:D BUT I HOPE NOTHING HAPPEN THAT WOULD MAKE HIM STAY LONGER & NOT BE ABLE TO CALL ME :( IF ANYONE HAS INFO. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ....THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Joanannacala, Don't worry too much mommy. I gave you the counsler numbers, call them. Express your concern and they are generally pretty good about giving you info. And I know most of the yards have been on lockdown so that may be why you haven't recieved a call. Have you written? Anyhow. They all are just starting to recieve visits again. So fill out another visiting form, give it two weeks and then get down there. They may give you your visit. I've seen them be pretty good to mother's and grandmothers. Ask for Luitenent Garcia explain the situation and they may let you in. But fill out that form and get it in. Also if you do get to go you will get to hug him and kiss him at the begining and end of the visit. Also, if it has been longer than 6 months since your last visit you should get your whole visit. It starts at 0815 and ends a 3:00pm. Take 30$ in ones and quarters for food. Dress with loose clothing, no white shirts, no levis even for kids. I always wear black it's a safe color. Always take extra clothing. But fill out the form. I don't know if you really want to take a chance on driving so far to talk to the liutenent, but good luck and don't worry.

my son called Friday (2/17) night. My son got bad news, he had been given a release date of April 22 and then two days later got another paper saying it was May 22. he is so stressed, said he filled out some form and hopes to find out what is going on. He was transferred here in January then the paper work said April so he is very confused and of course upset. I haven't seen him since March of 2005. I hadn't heard his voice (lockdown at other facility also) from August until about 3 weeks ago. It did him good and us.

Hi Ladies I have a question. Does COX except collect calls from Centinela? Does anyone know thats what im getting and im not sure if my husband will be able to call...please help if you can.

one love, i have cox and was able to get my husband's phone calls. however, i thought that everyone at centinela had to switch to mci. they had put a block on my phone until i had signed up for an account with them. cox still sends me the regular phone bill every month but i also get a separate phone bill from mci for all of my husband's collect calls. it's a pain in the ass cause once you go over $100, they block the line. so everytime my husband doesn't call when he's supposed to, i'm always on the phone with them trying to figure out if we've exceeded our limit.

We don't have either of these but are able to get collect calls. We have verizon. I wonder why we don't have any problems. Of course for months he couldn't even get to a phone but the past few weeks he has been able to get in a quick call.
