Colin Martin rolls up his trouser legs and points to the scars which provide a permanent reminder of his stay at the notorious Bangkok Hilton.


The crude disfigurements were literally hammered into his legs as he went through the Thai prison ritual of being forced to wear shackles after he was jailed for a murder he maintains he did not commit.

Thailand don't think much of their prisoners. They have inmates shackled up and cleaning city sewers and such. Not a great place to be incarcerated at. I told my bf that at least he is not there (as bad as it gets here).
I lived there for a long time so I've seen and heard alot.

I think Colin Martin was in Klong Prem prison and before that he was in Chonburi jail but not Bang Kwang. By the sound of it though they're not much better, if at all.
