I met Sebastian face to face about 5 months after that first phone call. The moment I saw him (had seen his mug shot on the IDOC website) walk into the visiting room I thought, "There's my man!!!"

OMG Patty! I felt the same way when I saw Nuro for the first time. Our eyes met. He touched my hand to give me his number so I could write to him and I knew that he would someday be my husband!

Ladies, I can totally understand how you feel. I've seen men before that I thought, Oh my he is good looking. But I had never thought Oh Great Spirit that is the person I will be with forever. Now I have been married and even at the alter of my wedding I briefly thought I wonder how long this is going to last. Not with Raven, When I met him face to face we knew if was forever.

We have not met yet but plan on doing so this summer, I cannot wait until I get to see him face to face!!

Unfortunatley I have not met my man face to face yet.:( But hopefully I will soon. I started talking to him 3 years ago so it is really hard not being able to see him. He lost his visits in August of 2004 for 3 years!!! :angry: so we still have a ways to go. But I have my fingers crossed that he will be able to get them back early.

I'm one of the lucky ones, I guess, because I can get over to visit every few months, but the first time I'd never even been to America before and was so scared. I swear if Tony wasn't so strong and had his arms locked around me I'd have crumpled in a heap on the floor. I felt my legs give way. But, within an hour of meeting it was as if we'd known each other all our lives. Actually, I'd had my palm read a few months before that when I was visiting a friend in Australia. The young American woman who I saw told me Tony and I had been together in a previous life and had been searching for one another in this. She didn't know how right she was until the sitting was over because I never give any indication as to whether they're right or wrong until the end.

I'm back across the pond in 6 weeks and the time just can't go quickly enough.

Well dang i met mines for the first time a month ago i go back to see him this coming week. i drove 8 hours to see him and they only gave me a 2 hour visit. this time i am going to be able to see him for 3 days from 11-5:30 so i am looking forward to that. i plan on saving my tax money so that i can go see him once a month i might need to switch off days to during the week so i can get the visits during the week. they have longer visits. I fell in love with him when i first seen his pic then i went to see him and held his hands i knew he was the man for me.

I met him and visited a few times, but then we haven't seen each other in a long time because he got moved. I hope to remedy that in the next couple of months.

Yea for six weeks. It will go by fast Rose. Be sure and bring warm clothes. We are still having chilly weather here.

Last July. Didn't quite know what he look like coz the picture he sent me was very blury and fuzzy. He knew exactly what I look like from pictures years ago (2001).

He held my hand and kissed my hand and I thought I was gonna pass out from the excitement. I felt like I've known him forever through letters and phone calls although we never met face to face.

I heard people say he is hot looking and yep, they were right. I've only visited 3 weekends. He is like a 7 hour drive away.

No :( the USA and UK are a bit of a distance but ONE thing i DO know is - when we do it will be ELECTRIC !! Adrian has been there SO much for me, that I would never EVER again look at a UK man ! ! !

I met him face to face for the first time on Feb. 4th. It was the greatest day of my life, the best 3 hours of my life. I'll never forget it. I miss him so much more than I ever did before and I can't wait to see him again.

We haven't met yet! We just started writing about 3 weeks ago! He doesn't have phone priveleges yet. I live in a huge city and sometimes it takes an hour just to drive from one side of it to the other. So, the 1.5-2 hour drive to see him will be a breeze. I just have to get my money right for gas! I hope so see him in March.

I met my penpal of 8 months about 2 weeks ago, and it was like I have known this man my whole life. I did see his picture on the internet, when I first decided to write him, which started of on a friendship basis. After about 5 months, he started to fall for me, and I for him. He is now talking about marriage!! :eek: I love this man!!!

I met my guy for the first time in early Dec. and I just got back from seeing him this past weekend. The first visit was so intense. I walked into the room where he was and I was in his arms before I even realized what I was doing. There is something magnetic about our bodies, its crazy. I'll see him again in March.

Yes I have met Travis, we started talking in April and I went up to see him November of last year that is, I also went up there January of this year. Both times I surprised him, cuz he hates surprises. But he likes mine LOL, the first time our eyes met I could see FOREVER with him. His LOVE is incrediable on paper or over the phone but to see it touch it and kiss him OMG I KNEW I would spend FOREVER and 11 days with this man, He is the most amazing man I have EVER met

I have been writing my friend for several motnhs, I haven't met him face to face. I have seen everything about his case on Court TV. So it seems like I was one of is family member in court with him. So when I write him it is not like I am writing a stranger. It feels like I am writing someone I lave loved for a long time. I get the pleasure of meeting him in April. I will take that journey to North Carolina---wish me luck I might need it. I do love his letters they mean the world to me. I haven't evenn had the chance of hearing his voice, but I will one day this week. I will be sure to share my happiness with you guys. I am so grateful for PTO......

No, I have never met my penpal face to face. We share very special correspondence via mail though. I hope to meet him someday. I am nervous about the whole process of visitation, but I know it will be worth it when I am ready to take that next step.

I saw my honey face to face 4 years ago... a year after we started writing to one another. After that first visit ive tried to go see him every 3-6 months. I havent seen him in a year now, but will be seeing him in 5 weeks WITH the kids! :D

Well, I met mine face to face the first time in 2002 I believe it was ( not good with dates) after about 6months of writing and talking by phone but I know the first time I looked into his eyes that was it no turning back. lol I use to get to see him a couple days a week when he was only a 30 minute drive away and now he has been transfered and it takes roughly 2hours to get there I only get to see him 1-2 a month which I am greatful for because it could have been worse and I would be going out my mind not being able to see him.
