I stayed at a motel someone else referred me to and I found it very convenient to Eastern.
It was the Days Inn in Wurtsboro, which is on Rt. 209 about 25 mins from Eastern and a straight drive.
The place seemed clean and it was 75$ with tax for the night.

There's also a Super 8 right off exit 18 on the thruway, I haven't had a chance to try but I might in the future...

I highly recommend the Super 8 in Newburgh ,NY , it was so clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I recently stayed in a non smoking room with a king size bed for less than $80 and that rate was only because I booked only 2 days before I stayed.

The motel is about half an hour away from Shawangunk & Wallkill and maybe 45 from Greenhaven....

There is a Wal-mart not even 20 minutes away as well as other stores like Target and supermarkets and restauraunts like TGI Friday's

I had a great stay and plan to stay there again soon.

the nicest hotel near sullivan is days inn liberty...
it is exit 100 off rt 17 and sullivan is exit 107 but if u get off the 105 it is only a 15 minute drive down the road.. there is a big walmart or kmart that you can go shopping at if you need to bring a package.
