My husband was originally at Mohawk in Rome. The best bet there is the Quality Inn on S. James Street. They gave a special deal to people visiting inmates so it's $80 a night. They have a pool and are connected to a Denny's restaurant which makes it convenient. Right around the corner, there is a JC Penney's, a Price Chopper supermarket, a Kentucky Fried Chicken and an Eckerdts pharmacy. This hotel is about 5 minutes away from the prison. When visiting Marcy, I stay at the Super 6 hotel in Utica. It's about 10 minutes away from the facility. It's $60 a night and nothing fancy. On the same strip, there's also a Best Western, Red Roof Inn, and a Super 8 motel, though these are more expensive. Nearby is a McDonald's, a Wendy's, a steakhouse and a Dunkin Donuts. do you have to make an appointment to visit, or is it first come first served? can I bring anything for him at the visit, and if so, like what? Thank you for any information you may have.

no u dont have to make any apointments to visit at the facility but u do need to make apointments for the hotels cause they are packed in the summer. if he is not in the box u can bring things for him but they have to be in regulations with the prison, like sealed food, shirts with no design on it, cigarettes, u can go to the ny packages on here and it says what u can bring.

I used Hotels.com or Kayak.com and just entered the correctional facility's address... It'll give you Hotels that are close by and it included Super 8 or Days Inn (motels like that). See if it works for you. :)

Hey there just an update on the hotels near mohawk and oneida, when getting off the thruway wxit 33, there are two new hotels going up near Turning Stone Casino and there is also a Microtel a little farther past the casino.

Another hotel just went up in Rome right off of 365 and River Road (closer to Marcy and Midstate but still close to Oneida and Mohawk). It is in the Griffias Business Park.

The prices seem a bit high 139+ tax, but nice hotel.

Does anyone know of hotels near the Central NY Pysychiatric Center in Marcy? I am looking high and low here for all info about it..thanks any will help
