I have a loved one in Varner Supermax. Their phone calls are very limited.
When I do get calls from him, the phone will sometimes go dead while we are talking or the connection is so bad on the prison phone that he cannot hear me. I live out of state so each call that he makes to me is 20.00. Yep, you read it right. Now, according to MCI's new plan, that's five calls a month. After they block the calls, then I must sit on hold with MCI for up to an hour just to give the jokers a credit card number to take the block off the line. I know many others that have had to deal with the blocks on the line also.It seems to me that MCI has shot themselves in the foot with their new rules. I laugh out loud just thinking about how many calls they are loosing by setting their outrageous limits on calls. Anyone have any feelings on this besides me???????

Hey I think if you are paying your bills on time ...you should be able to accept as many as "YOU" can afford. But wow...$20.00 a call that is crazy. How do they think families can afford that,we do $6.60 per call here. I mean women at home raising their children, supporting the whole family. Trying to keep contact with their husband, their child's father,no wonder so many marriages fall apart when he goes into the system. I think if they would find ways to keep families close it would cut down on their problems behind the walls.Just my personal opinion. :)kitty
