Does anyone know the policy at Ventress on out-of-state extended visits? I'd like to visit my friend in July but the one day that is his visitors day is not one I can be there for ... since I am out-of-state (out of country in fact!) can I submit for a few days at any time in the month even though not his scheduled visiting day? How many days & hours are generally approved for extended visits?

I know the special visits have to be approved by the warden/or his designee, Your friend has to submit the paper work on when your coming to visit. For a special visit per ADOC guidelines for out of towners it doesn't have to be on his visitation day. For a special visit it is usually 1 day and it would be visitation hours. Ask your friend how long of a visit you will get, like i said it all has to be approved by the warden and he will let your friend know how long and what day..
