View Full Version : February Check In for AZ
chintath 02-07-2006, 10:15 AM Didn't see this thread started so there must be lots of busyness. How is everyone?
My pals in AZ have been writing weekly except my youngest who is missing in action and keeps getting moved around. One of my pals in CDU at Rhynning awaiting a transfer after his reclass at the end of the month is in a cell with 3 people, one of whom must sleep on the floor (hopefully it won't flood too much anymore). He's a patient, tolerant person in his 50s but the stress is getting to him.
Hope your guys are faring better.
Is there any good news out there about the prison system?
aaronsbabygirl 02-07-2006, 01:36 PM No news that I've heard. Happy to say that I only got 4 and a half months left! My Aaron seems to be doing great now that he got moved into an indoor facility. Also just like to add that since he's been more confined, he's been working out in his cell and gained 39lbs! (yummy)
mygirlisinjail 02-07-2006, 05:49 PM I'm happy because starting on March 15th I'm going to be spending 10 weeks in Phoenix for work. I'll be staying only 28 miles from Perryville and my work is paying for the whole thing! :) Ten weeks of being within driving distance of Michelle! And it's not costing me a dime. :) :) :) Anybody need a place to stay?
Leighlovesalan 02-08-2006, 12:02 PM Hi All,
Doing good out here in California. Wishing that I was in AZ so I could visit him more often.
He's doing really well after all the drama that went on in December. His jaw is really messed up, so we might have some sort of lawsuit coming up. Anybody know of what kind of legal rights he has about malpractice? Just wondering.
I know I don't post much around here, but it's good to know that ya'll are out there going through the same stuff I am.
chintath 02-08-2006, 01:46 PM 39 pounds!!! Now in 4 1/2 that will be -- !!!! At least it sounds like all muscle. My penpals have gained weight too from the inactivity and I don't think it is all muscle--I worry they are eating themselves into a heart attack!

chintath 02-08-2006, 01:49 PM I missed hearing about this one. Is he able to eat? Did he have surgery? Is he getting care now? I hope he isn't in pain.
Take care.

njtexas 02-08-2006, 05:42 PM My good news is that my older son said he can meet me in Arizona so we can both go see my younger son. Both of them together! YEA! My older son has a new job.
I am finally feeling better. It seems like everyone in Texas has "creeping consumption". I have been sick since New Years. I am ready to do something besides go to the doctor.
Work has been a challenge, but I have made it through the challenges.
How are the rest of you?
Leighlovesalan 02-09-2006, 09:36 AM I missed hearing about this one. Is he able to eat? Did he have surgery? Is he getting care now? I hope he isn't in pain.

He did have surgery and he's worried that the doctor messed the whole thing up. He's able to eat solid foods, but can't open his mouth more then two inches. He's starting to be really worried about that. He was on a medical ward for about five weeks, but now he's not.
Thanks for asking. I think he'll be fine. He's tough.
chintath 02-09-2006, 01:07 PM Glad to hear he's on the road to recovery. From your ticker, I see you'll be able to see him soon. Hope that kiss will be pain-free!!!!He did have surgery and he's worried that the doctor messed the whole thing up. He's able to eat solid foods, but can't open his mouth more then two inches. Yeah, it is all muscle:D He has been working out incessantly (push ups, sit ups...ect) I cannot wait to hug him again!!! He is built really stocky naturally and when he was at Tents he dropped a whole bunch of weight and looked really unhealthy. I mean it's not like they're feeding him steak or anything nutritional  Anyway, it's ALWAYS great to hear he is doing well. And I am happy to hear everyone else seems to be doing good too. Only thing that's NOT good is how SLOW the mail is gotten  They are short in the mail room and don't care. So, our mail is 7-10 days behind :blah: :blah: :blah:
NJNancymae 02-11-2006, 01:18 PM  Well, I am glad that someone did the February Shout Out for AZ. I was looking for it earlier. :D
February 2006 is the BEST month of my entire life so far. On Feb 1,
I married the other half of my heart, Eric, in Tucson and we are so happy.   Course it wasn't the easiest of things to accomplish but we did and now we are married. I could NOT be happier unless he was out and with me. :hee: :hee: :hee: I spent a lot of time with his family in Phoenix and we had a blast. Also hooked up with my girl, hubbyslilangel, out there and that is always good.
 I am back to work at the company I worked at for 14 years so I am super happy about that. So much less pressure than my previous job at the litigation law firm! UGH! :slap:
And February is the month for Valentine's Day ...and that is all about romance.  ..can't get better than that.
So life is good for this member.
bluesapphires4 02-11-2006, 02:08 PM It's been a while that I posted but thought it is February and in a few more days it is our wedding anniversary, so thought I'll say hello to everybody!

Dale'sforever 02-12-2006, 01:43 PM Hi everyone, Happy February!! (way late...sorry!) I hope that everyone is having a good month so far. :) I apologize for not checking in sooner, school is keeping me super busy this semester. It's my last semester of nursing school and we are doing two 12 hr. clinicals a week, along with all of our in class assignments. Plus, I am still working and visit my husband on the weekends. I can't wait to be done with school, I'm not going to know what to do with all the free time I'll have! :p
~Nancy, congrats on your wedding! :yay: Wishing you and Eric a lifetime of happiness & love!
~Chintah, thanks for starting February check-in for me-I was slackin'. I hope that you and your pen-pals are doing well. :)
~Blue, happy anniversary!! :D
~soulmates, hope that you hear some good news in 4 months! ;)
~Nj, Great news on your older son being able to visit R with you! :) Are you visiting soon?
Everyone else, hope you are all doing well and that you hear from your loved ones soon! Have a good rest of the weekend!! :) Lisa
GREENEYES99 02-13-2006, 09:25 AM HEY NJNANCYMAE,CONGRATS TO YOU AND ERIC,FROM THE NEWBIE.BEST OF LUCK AND LOVE IN YOUR FUTURE TOGETHER.
lovingmikel 02-16-2006, 09:16 PM February has been perplexing to say the least. I'm having a lot of conflicting feelings about, well, everything. My ex-husband (Craig) wants to get back together and be a "family" and right now that sounds really tempting because I've been lonely. But, I love Mikel and know that were he out here with me, there would be no doubt in my mind about being with him. It's just knowing that he still has 23 months left and I'm trying to raise 3 boys by myself...and here is someone else that I obviously once loved wanting to be at my side and helping me out. GRRRR...I HATE THIS!!! I want to crawl into a deep dark hole and sleep for the next 2 years.
