My son was in RSAT ... he had to stay in harris county jail for 3 month before being transferred... they have visitations once a week but they are in a meeting setting, afterwards as long as they have earned it they are allowed to visit with you at a table setting. They are allowed one phone call when they arrive cant remember exact time but I think it was 30 days before he was allowed visitations and calls, they have to earn everything. My sons biggest complaint about the place was that they encouraged everyone to snitch on each other and in doing so it was so easy to get extra days added to your time. The counselors and correctional officers seemed really nice and helpful which was a blessing. I feel that the meetings were good and it helped him alot. I hope that this is helpful it has been a while since he has been there but looks like we are going to have to experience this again ourselves except they sentenced him to Safe P so that is why I am on here checking out what that program is like and how things work with it... Good luck to all of you!
