Some time ago I read on this forum about a bill proposal for releasing inmates over 60 years of age who had served a certain percentage of their sentences. The push behind this being that older inmates cost the BOP a bundle in health care cost and are at higher risk for injuries on the job. Could someone please let me know where this legislation stands.
