Hi, there...
My boyfriend is currently doing time at Easterling Correctional Facility in Clio, Alabama. He has been incarcerated for 9 years. His EOS is September 2012 but hopefully will be approved for parole in July 2007.
I am new here and really looking forward to looking around and getting to you know guys:D ...
If anyone out there has a loved at Easterling - let me know. He has only been there a short time and I've not even visited yet. :confused: Would love to find someone that can give me an idea of what it is like there if you know someone there...

Welcome to PTO and the Alabama forum family, very glad you are with us! :)
My guy left Easterling last summer after 15 months there. It is a horrible facility compared to all the others and run like no other Alabama facility, but it has some good points. They just have rules that are ridiculous that no other facility has and other facilities are run much more reasonably and logically and with more efficient staff than Easterling is. Sorry that he wound up there, but like I said it does have a few good things, it's just the laughing stock of the entire DOC (staff people and inmates alike) because of the way it's run compared to other facilities.
Visiting is not bad down there but is indoors 100%, no outside time, and it is the only non-smoking facility in Alabama. Visiting is supposed to be from 8 to 1:30 but (par for the course with them) they start running people off at 1, which is untrue at most other facilities.

my fiance is at eaterling and i havent gotten to go and see him yet but i will get to go see him on july first and that just happens to be his bday. we havent seen each other in almost 10 years and thanks to his ex wife(which was my best friend) we found each other again after 10 years. i havent even gotten to talk to him yet but i am going to get to talk to him on sat at his moms house. any one wanna chat just look me up--angel

Welcome to PTO.My husband was also ther for about 13 months. It was hard on my husband , but we got threw it.

I haven't seen Ricky in 8 yrs until a couple weeks ago. But it was like nothing changed. We love each other today as much as we did 8 yrs ago.
