I Wanted To Know If They Do Pictures At Elmore, And What's The Cost, Do You Buy Once You're Inside? How Much Money Are We Allowed To Take To A 5-6 Hour Visit?

You man will have to buy picture tickets from the commisionary (store) in the prison a few days before the visit..New DOC rule is you can only take $20.00 in change to visit. Visitation there is from 7am to 1pm...

Well my husband has just moved from Kilby to Elmore. I still have not heard from him yet. But it has only been 3 days since he has been there. I just thought it was nice to find someone who is going through the same thing I am and have thier man in the same place mine is at. How long did it take before you could hear from him or start having visitation? Thanks.

Visitation is done by the first letter of his last name. It is every other weekend from 7am to 1pm. (take a look at the general & visitaiton info sticky it has some helpful info there) Once he gets there he will fill out paperwork pertaining to visitation, fund, and phone list. The phone list will probably be the first to be approved. It will probably take a couple of weeks on the visitaiton/funds list. I can't remember the SGT. name in charge of visitation. You can call elmore and they may give you his dorm and bed number, that way you could write him a letter. He should be calling you pretty soon..if you haven't heard from him by sunday let me know and when i talk to my husband i will get the sgt's name in charge of visitation and you can call her and get the visitation schedule.

my hubby was recently transfered to elmore c f can anyone give me an update on life at ecf? how are the inmates treated? what kind of person is the warden? is there programs there that can be helpful with soon coming parole hearing. any info will be appreciated.by the way when is the next visitation for persons with last name starting with an H? he transfered from bibb county cf.

My baby is in Elmore and I am going to go see him this Saturday. I get our picture ticket when I check in at the front and 4x6 is $4 and 5x7 is $6 and 8x10 is $8. I have not been told of a limit, but we usually get 2 4x6's one for me to bring home and one for him to keep with him. We visit one Saturday a month due to my work schedule, but visits are every 2wks and alternating Sat. and Sun.

Oh, I did forget to tell you that when you are visiting, when you get ready to go get something to eat they have to tell you what they want and you have to go get it and heat it up and everything. The only time they can go in that part of the building is when taking pictures. My man does not like me waiting on him but he knows that's the only way he will eat. I also have the help of our daughter, I get one thing ready and then she'll take it to her daddy and then come back and help me with the rest. They really act ridiculous at most times.

Does anyone know if they take pics while they are in Elmore and if so is there a way to see them at all? My son wants a pic of his daddy. I cant seem to find one anywhere and he doesnt know anything

Anjaysmom, I do know that when you go to visit you can take pictures during visitation. You might want to write him and ask him if he can take pictures and if he needs money on his books to do so. I know when my man was at Easterling he was able to take pics for us and send them to us, but that was Easterling. You can see them on visitation. Do you take your son to see his daddy?
