Hi,

I'm hoping someone at PTO can let me know who we have to contact to obtain a copy of a federal prison record, particularly your job assignment.

My boyfriend who was released in 2001 is trying to obtain his barbering license and would like to submit proof that he was a prison barber during his prison term.

We've tried contacting the last facility where he was and was told we'd have to contact the National Archives in DC for that information.

Doe anyone have any other suggestions or information?

Sounds like he needs a copy of the certificate which unfortunately you do have to get out of archives. I had to fill out all kinds of paperwork for a medical record I lost from 2001. I dont know of anyother way if the institution says they dont have it. Does he have any old paperwork form maybe his team meetings or pay sheets? Those would show where he worked at least.
