HELLO LADIES!!! I NOTICED THAT IN ALL OF THESE FORUMS THAT THERE IS NOT ONE FOR NORTH KERN STATE (DELANO I) WHY????
ALOT OF OUR MEN GO THERE FOR RECEPTION AND THERE ARE LOTS AND LOTS OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS OUT THERE.... SO HERE WE GO I AM NEW TO THIS AND WOULD LOVE ANY HELP WITH THIS TOPIC, THERE IS A NEED FOR IT THOUGH.

THIS IS WHAT I KNOW SO FAR FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY CAN BE SENT WHILE IN RECEPTION:

20 STAMPED ENVELOPES (FROM POST OFFICE)
25 SHEETS OF PAPER
NO PENS (WHERE DO THEY GET WRITTING TOOLS?)
MONEY ORDERS (PUT THERE CDC# ON IT)
AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN RECEPTION THEY DO NOT TAKE ANY MONEY OUT OF THE MONEY YOU SENT (UNTIL THEY GO MAINLINE)

ANY OTHER INFO THAT ANYONE HAS WOULD BE GREAT!!!

I'M SO CONFUSED ABOUT DELANO, HOPEFULLY YOU CAN HELP ME. MY BOYFRIEND HAS BEEN AT N.K.S.P. SINCE FEB.1ST,2006. I HAVEN'T HEARD FEOM HIM SINCE THE 18TH OF FEBUARY. AND THAT WAS HE'S LAST ENEVLOPE, AT HE HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY LETTERS AT ALL FROM ME AS OF THE 14TH OF FEB. HIS RETURN ADRESS WAS N.K.S.P. PO BOX 4999, IS TIS THE SAME PRISON WITH A ADDRESS OF PO BOX 567? AND AS CECIL STREET, DELANO?

Can someone tell me what the visiting is like here at Delano-on the 180 yard?

I'm with Jesse'sGirl, I read somewhere in one of these post the Delano P.O Box was 5000? Will the mail get there to P.O Box 0567? Is is the same? Or not even close? And, if that's the case will it be re-routed? Or sent back?

When My Husband First Got There The P.o Box Was 5000 Now He Is In C-east And It Is 5004 I Think As Long As The Cdc Number Is On The Envelope It Finds Them

Welcome Mark-Friend, I hope you'll find PTO very friendly and helpful. I did... I do. You can call the Inmate Locator Line: (916) 445-6713. You'll be needing his first and last name and his birthday. Have them ready and be prepared to 'hold.' *P.S They are not allowed phone calls because they simply do not have phones in Reception. Hope this helps. Take Care. Good luck.

thanks for the info.but i dont understand what is the address for reception when they first get there. i dont know when he going to get there but it sounds like i better start sending him writting things now for next month. also does anyone know how long it takes for lifers to get transfered.do they all start out at the same place.

*I believe they all start out in the same place. I could be wrong, but I think you'd just have to wait until they send it to you. But, if you fill it out as soon as it gets to you it should only take about three to four weeks for approval. Hope this helps. Good luck. Take care.

I received letters from my friend. He's in reception in Delano. He indicates that he wants me to send him some magazines. I thought they weren't allow magazines, but he says send them. Is that true, can they receive magazines.

Hello to you all,
My man has been there for about a week now, what mail can they get and not get being in reception. And for those of you who do visit how long did it take to get you approved. I know they say 30 days is the time frame but is there any hope for anything sooner? I just barley recieved the application but no real letters yet, do they put a hold on him writing or is he just lagging on getting back to me? lol well any response of help would be nice thanks ahead of time.

My honey arrived last monday (4/17) and I got my first letter on Saturday and he had written it on Wednesday. I also got one yesterday and it was postmarked the 21st.. no mail today.. got spoiled for a minute! Hope you hear from him soon.
