Ok ladies, I started this thread because I need your help. I am creating a guidebook for Ironwood and Chuckawalla. Please start a list of items that you KNOW are allowed and NOT allowed to be sent to inmates. Please be specific on which prison you are replying for. Make a list like this:

EXAMPLE ONLY

Ironwood
Allowed:
Paper (??? sheets at a time)
Pens
Envelopes (??? per ....)


NOT Allowed:
Stickers
Hard Cover books
Cash or Checks


Ok, so this was an example. Please reply to this thread with any information you may have. This will help me in creating the new Ironwood/Chuckawalla Guide Book. :thumbsup:

Money Orders ( takes apprx 4 days to clear )
A new Book of Stamps

Perfume sprayed letters/envelopes
lipstick kissed letters
packages from home

What I send based on weight in one letter:

5 sheets of paper ( how many I write on will determine how many are blank ) - or - 3 sheets of heavy computer paper ( same as above )
5 pictures
1 envelope
- I use a legal sized envelope to mail and to include
- If I send an envelope, I don't send pictures or I use another letter

I never have a problem with Perfume sprayed letters/envelopes
lipstick kissed letters

You are aloud to send books as long as there from a vender same with magazines and newspapers must come form the vender

OR 20 PRE-STAMPED ENVELOPES

I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH LETTERS WITH KISSES OR PERFUME SPRAYED ON THEM EITHER....

I only know that, that was in the rules that I was told when my son first went there 2 years ago. Since it is my son, I have no reason to put those on the letters, so I have never tried. If you are doing it and have no problems then it must be allowed. Sorry for any incorrect info.

So could I send more than 5pictures at a time or I have to spread it out and send 5in each envelope??? Could I just mail it out in each envelope??? It doesn't make sense because it could just be sent in one envelope....Does it matter how many pages of letter I send???? thank you...if you could please Private message me that would be great.
