Sun'skitty 02-06-2006, 09:07 PM My boyfriend is at SVSP. I go every weekend to see him. Sometimes for one day or two if his family is not visiting. The weather varies. The mornings now can be chilly and then by the afternoon it gets nice and sunny. Other times it is rainy and cold. In the visiting room it is usually warm. Or maybe it's just my man! NENAZ 02-06-2006, 10:49 PM Thanks for the info ladies! How do the CO's act with you at visit? Can we hold hands? Can he hug me? Can I put my hand on his lap? Thank you, NENAZ TheGeneralsWife 02-08-2006, 06:08 PM I just got my visits back after 17 months, so I will be there first thing on Saturday, well Friday night. (Look for me I will be out there with a BBQ and a tent.) I used to go every weekend both days and now that I have them back I probably will too. I can't wait to see him, so if you are up there this weekend say hi. Hey lady I will be up there February the 17th will you be there that weekend?:) Sun'skitty 02-08-2006, 09:17 PM In C yard, the COs have been pretty cool. A hug and kiss every once in a while during the visit is okay. We can hold hands too. I give him back rubs and put my hand on his leg and nothing has been said so far. It is way better than it was in D yard. I don't know about the other yards though. have a great visit! NENAZ 02-09-2006, 03:56 PM In C yard, the COs have been pretty cool. My husband's in B yard, and the CO's have been good there as well, way better than when he was at Lancaster. We sit snuggled together, and they don't care, they also don't mind little kisses here and there, and you can walk around together, stand at the microwave together, that sort of thing. This past weekend, someone's food got stuck in the vending machine, and an inmate was standing there rocking the machine, making all kinds of noise, and they didn't even care. LOL. At Lancaster, they weren't even allowed to get up without permission, let alone get near the vending machines. Anyways, I see my husband about once a month, because I live four hours away... well, that's when I'm not obeying the speed limit to the best of my abilities. :D Lolis, from North Hollywood, you're probably looking at about 4 1/2 to 5 hours as well. Just shoot up the 5 to the 46West, then up the 101N. Stephanie TheGeneralsWife 02-09-2006, 07:52 PM I will be there with bells on waiting for 6:30 to come around.Hey lady I will be up there February the 17th will you be there that weekend?:) TheGeneralsWife 02-09-2006, 07:54 PM Thats good to know because I visit on C yard too. It used to get packed in there, is that still the case? BY any chance do you know the names of the CO's who work visiting? In C yard, the COs have been pretty cool. NENAZ:):):):):):) NENAZ 02-10-2006, 09:20 PM Hey Ladies Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. sillygirl422005 03-06-2006, 04:11 PM My brother has been locked up for 21 years now and he was sentenced 25 to life. It's been hard and we finally got to go visit, July 2004. Mom couldn't bring herself to see him in Prison. Were going again in August to see him again. I can't wait. I wish he could come home but his parole was denied. We don't know why because he has been a model prisoner. Maybe one day he will. TheGeneralsWife 03-06-2006, 08:42 PM Silly girl it is great to have you here!!!! I know how you feel, we were just denied parole too. Welcome to the Salinas Valley Family!!! NENAZ 03-06-2006, 08:59 PM Hello Our Happy Family (SVSP) Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed week. Also Welcome to all our New Family!!! Lots of Hugs, Nenaz http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_80.gifhttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_35.gifhttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_27.gif momof1angel 03-16-2006, 11:38 PM What are the COs like on A Yard? momof1angel 03-20-2006, 01:00 PM My boyfriend is in SVSP. What is A yard like? Owwlala 03-22-2006, 04:08 AM A yard is pretty quiet. Were in A3 and I see my man every weekend. I'm usually #5 -10 and no matter what time I get there, the other guys in A1, A2 will come out first. The CO's are cool but not very friendly and don't let ya get away with nothing! Its not a crowded yard so we never get our visits canceled and there are many games and movies to occupy dead time if you need it. No standing in the doorways or going outside and the vendor comes between 11:30 and noon but as usual charges way too much for pizza and shrimp coctails @$15 a pop. Andrea01 03-27-2006, 11:32 PM My Papa is on A yard also, and I go up on Sundays. I get out there in line around midnite and I'm usually number 21-30 which isn't too bad. The CO's aren't too bad compared to others I've seen, they are pretty quiet but they will let you know if your not sitting the right way or if your hands are not where they should be :) other than that they are cool. Now the tall woman out in processing she is another story and she can be something else. As long as you wear the right clothes and oh what ever you do don't be a dollar over the amount you are allowed they seem to have a hissy over that ;) |
