Well according to his mom and a letter he sent to me when he was in DVI about to go to CCC he gets out July 22nd.Do they do alot of lockdowns/riots there? He said that its mainly a white prison so i imagine that there is alot of racial tension(then again THATS everywhere) No i have not received a phone call yet, speaking of phone calls do they have a limit as to how often they can call you?? i'm in the process of siging up for the prisoncallsonline thing but i have to wait till i get my tax return to do that, which will hopefully be next week

I don't know about CCC but I'll speak on HDSP. Maybe the same rules apply. There is alot of racial tension. They do go on lockdowns alot (sometimes for months at a time). They just got off a month long lockdown a few weeks ago. Your man can call you as much as he wants but when it gets to $100 you'll have to set up an account with MCI. I didn't do prison calls online because it doesn't save me money but it might for you. I hope this helps even though it might only apply to HDSP.

Hey Girl!

My husband is at Lassen Yard. Well, they have a certain schedule as far as using the phone comes. They can call every other day. They have to sign up a day ahead and they will give them a time spot. I don't know if this is the same for all the buildings in Lassen Yard.

They aren't as many lockdowns as in order places. There hasn't been a riot since I started going up to see him and it's been 3 years already. They do have their one-on-one fights once in a while though.

From what my husband tells me, that yard is mellow compared to other yards. Not much politics and such.

If you want any other info, let me know!

becareful when you sign up with prison online calls. I did that and I think it is a rip off. They tell you when you sign up that even if someone else calls you other than the prison on that phone they will still charge you for that call. Then there was some guy calling from the prison other than my husband and even though I did not accept I still got charged a couple dollars. I no longer use them because my money was going to waste faster than I could keep up, and I only got to speak to my man a couple times using prison online calls. Isn't there anyway you could go through sbc. Thats what I finally did.

PCO is really only a good deal, as far as I can tell, if you're going to be getting several calls a day...if it's only a few times a month or even a few times a week, you may be better off with no special arrangements.

Back to the original question, I've got a pen pal on Lassen, he hasn't told me a lot about the place, but I'll ask him for the 411 in my next letter.
