If you are talking about the RSAT (Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for Prisoners) then here are links to info for Florida and Pennsylvania

My son is at Branchville C.F. in Indiana & has begun the Wabash Valley Rehab. He says they do alot of YELLING. Can anyone explain this method of Meth treatment? Why all the noise ? Is it successful ? I'm a newbie so any help is appreciated. Anyone else at Branchville?

Well I for one just came from a CFC (Correctional Facilities Committee) meeting where I God willing will be approved to go behind the wall and carry the message of AA. I have been clean and sober myself for almost three years. Personally speaking the program of recovery only works if YOU WORK IT! Today I was blessed to hear personal stories of newly released and not so newly released men that have been incarcerated and how the program works in their lives. Part of the recovery process is to share our experience, strength and hope with suffering alcoholics. And the only reqirement for membership is the desire to want to stop drinking and using.

Lucky you that they LET you into classes and/or meetings. Here in Indiana (or at least in Putnamville CF) you have to be within 6 months of your outdate to be eligible for rehab classes and/or AA/NA meetings. He's going to be in there for almost two years without support, treatment, or anything else for help. His drug of choice is crack, and without a safety net, he's not going to be able to make it. The judge said he'd give him community corrections instead of prison for his last year if he did the substance abuse and life skills classes, but the prison won't let him in ANYthing. Why do they make it so hard for a person to try? I'm just sick.
