susan/ohio 05-30-2002, 07:08 PM Hello everyone!
I have great news, they have moved my son from the receprion center to a prison that is only a 35 minute drive for me. I am so happy, I was afraid when they classified him they would send him further away. The reception center was a 2and half hour drive one way. I am so glad that he is close. Now I will get to see him more often because before the only day I could visit was on Mondays and that was going to be difficult to do with work and all.
Just wanted to share .

cepora 05-30-2002, 08:09 PM Great news indeed!! Good for you. I am glad. Anything that can make this time a little bit easier on us in any way is great. I am lucky in the distance aspect of this...my son is only a 5 minute drive away and I don't think they are moving him. I thank God for that. How is your son doing? Take care.

So glad your son is closer to you now. My son is a two hour drive from us. But that is closer than he was, he was eight hours away after they clasified him. Then he got a chance to be moved closer. So I know how you feel. So enjoy your visits. And God bless.

jdswifey02 06-01-2002, 10:12 PM From my understanding, when you "subscribe" to a thread, it just means that you can be notified via Email when there are new posts in that thread... is that right?? You may want to Email or send a private message to Fed-X with technical questions.... He has ALL the answers!! :)

I was told I couldn't visit while my son was in the fl reception center he was there for 3 mos it was a really hard time for me. If you can I'd try to get in contact with someone there who decides where he goes and what "programs" he needs if there are any avalible.
