My husband is in Mangum Community Work Center. I think every Work Center has their own rules. At Mangum Its like it was while he was in Prison as far as the contact but they dont search you when you come in. You sign up upon entering, bring your ID. I can also go to a resteraunt in the area and bring him something to eat but he has to wait till we leave to eat it. He is also wearing street clothes no more prison uniform. And he can carry upto $50 on his person. He said during the week he has a regular job he just dont get paid. He can pretty much go anywhere he wants in town he just has to stay outside. He cant walk into a store or anything. He said it is much better than prison or county jail but nothing like being home. Tina

Well depending on what level he is his package can consist of food (non-parishable),laundry soap, hyigene products, but it can't be over 80.00 for level 4, I'm not sure what the other amounts are for lower levels. Depending on facility visiting hrs range, some facilities will allow you to bring in food to eat, it can be home made or store bought, they can carry a certain amount of money on them, they do work a job, some get paid depending on the job. They do get street clothes, jeans, shoes, work boots, some facilites may require him to wear their shirts out in the public, one dress shirt can be brought to them that is for church. See if you can find out which facility he will be going to, he may not even know til they move him, that is usually how it goes due to the security measures. Hope he gets somewhere he will like and that is close for ya.
