My boyfriend will be going in front of the parole board on Feb 28. This i sgoing to be a looooooooong momth waiting to hear our fate. Please everyone pray for his release. I just don;t know what i will do or say if he gets denied. Thanks giys!

I'm sorry to hear about your man not getting parole. Was this the first time he went for it? My guy went 2 times and didn't get it both times. I know it's a tramatic thing to go through. I'm sure he learned alot from the process and will be well versed for the next time. Stay strong! :)

This was his second time. I am soooo traumatized, especially because he got me all excited saying he was 100% coming home. Thank you for your kind words!

I'm sorry, I know it's tuff. I remember sitting in those rooms with the parole board and having so much hope.

The 2nd time my man didn't get it, I just made myself think that he won't be out until his actual release date. I'm from Canada so I think parole is different up here. Up here, you can go for parole at 1/6th of your sentence, but, you usually won't get it... then you automatically get released at 2/3rds of your sentence unless you're in for something really really really bad! So my guy is getting out at the 2/3 rd mark....

Is that how it works for your case? How long has he been there? Did the parole board give him reasons for not granting it?
